Re: Bread Machines>> Kitchen Gadgets

We have one similar to this (they don't make our model anymore): http://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/hamilton-beach-12-cup-2-way-flexbrew-coffee-maker-silverblack/6000187077698" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It gives us flexibility. We can brew a whole pot, or brew a mug only. I also found t...

Re: EndurRun

I have Beast 100 the same weekend it starts, but I hope to participate in some capacity. At the very least I will volunteer for one or more stage. I can't miss hanging out with my Endur family :)

Re: Hamilton's Boxing Day 10 Miler

Bumping this. Just checked today and the site still does not allow registration. Did anyone see the booth at Around The Bay? This has become a bit of a family tradition so I would be really sad if the race isn't happening this year...

Based on your achievement at the Sport you would rock the Ultimate! And yes, we will meet again on the trails soon I'm sure :D

Re: EndurRun

Thanks Robin. I'm signed up for a 100 mile race the weekend that it starts next year, although Maureen may have me convinced to do the Sport....we'll see how my 100 miler in January goes first! 2016 I plan on doing the Ultimate again (and not being last female!)

Re: EndurRun

That's our potluck Tim :) We had one last year when we did the Sport and it was well received so I figured I'd continue the tradition. All are welcome.

Re: EndurRun

Those who have competed in both the Ultra and the Sport (myself included) find that the Sport is actually more difficult. Chicopee is pretty much the hardest stage, and it's hard to start off doing that stage, rather than having the other races to ease into it (anyone doing the Sport this year just ...

Hoping to start posting here regularly again. I am signed up for the Ultimate along with my husband. We did the full thing in 2012 and loved every minute. I am very excited to do it again.

Re: looking for a Sulphur bib

Morgan you may end up having a running buddy after all. Orleansrunner is going to see if she can transfer her bib to him. Beard is now more manicured but he has a few weeks still to grow it out for gel storage....

looking for a Sulphur bib

Hello. My husband, the world's greatest procrastinator, is looking for a 50K or 50 mile Sulphur bib. If anyone is no longer able to participate, please let me know.

Re: Beast of Burden question

Thanks. Looks like hubby may have to wait until 2015 as we're already registered for Endurun and based on previous years the race would fall on the same weekend as the end of the week of races. Oh well, this January will be good practice for him

Beast of Burden question

Does anyone have any insight into when the 2014 summer BoB will be? Hubby wants to run both the winter and summer next year and I am trying to figure out training/scheduling etc. Yes I am this OCD that I am planning next August already...

Hello, I am posting on behalf of a friend. She did not register in time for the 50K and she is hoping to find a bib. Please PM me if you can no longer use yours. Thanks!

For those that have run this before, have you carried your own water etc.? The website suggests that you don't because of the bridge/tunnel crossing.

Re: Sulphur Springs Trail Run

Some stupidly fast finishing times this weekend despite the heat. Congrats to all that ran. I had a pretty cool experience during my 50 mile race. Perhaps one of the perks of being a BOPer :) As I was chugging up the Three Sisters on my final lap, I heard someone coming behind me. At this point it w...

Re: Seaton Trail

I swear I have amnesia about this race. I did the 26K in 2010 and don't recall it being crazy-hard. DNFed on the 52K last year, but the portion I did do I again don't remember being crazy hard. Maybe I was paying too much attention to the cold and rain to notice? Or maybe because I'm slow all the ti...

Re: Sulphur Springs Trail Run

The race instructions indicate that for the 100 miler a pacer can only join you on the last two loops. Is this correct? (I am asking for a friend, not myself. I am doing a measly 50 miles there  )

Re: In defence of Ultra Running. Please chime in

I just wanted to say that Dan's blog post, and follow up post, both made me angry. But I doubt any comment I would have for him would make any difference. So I'll just continue with my ultra "running", and hope that he never shows up at an ultra race. I don't want him messing with my zen o...
