Re: What? No Sulphur Springs trail race thread??

This video was being passed around on Facebook today. It is highly entertaining and it really tells the tale of what the course conditions were like out there.

This video was made by one of the participants and was posted on YouTube.

Re: Seaton Trail 50 mile, 52km, 29km

Let the mudfest begin! I'm now giving up the idea of looking good and just getting it done... LOL! Annoying rain jackets will be in order along with extra body glide and socks.

See you all there!

Re: a night ultra at Limberlost...any takers?

I'm so in for the night ultra at Limberlost - especially during a full moon. As Maryka says, daytime there is just as beautiful so please keep the daytime race as well. Heck, a 12H or 24H race would work quite well for this purpose.

Re: Who's doin' the Dirty Girls?

What a great event. I loved this trail. It had more hills than I expected, but I'm fine on hills and had fun. This was my first attempt at anything over 50 miles, I signed up for 24hrs not knowing what to expect. I had a blast meeting so many people. Queenga, Viking and BJH were awesome at the 5k s...

Re: Limberlost Challenge - new OUSER race!!

I could have been asking myself this - Why did I decide to re-enter the racing scene in the midst of black fly, deer fly, and anything that bites in the night season on a tough and technical course? So What?! I absolutely loved this race! It was great to be running amongst friends once again. My mo...

My First Yoga Class... As an Instructor!

Hey All, I spent a lot of time wondering whether or not to put this post up... Finally, I decided "why not?"... As runners, we are always looking for ways to open up our bodies and remain strong and injury free all the same. Yoga has been my main source for doing just that. I have been pr...

Re: Haliburtons Anonymous (HA)

Is anyone planning on going up on the 4th of July for the training run? It is the day after S-Creemore and I'm thinking of doing up to 40K that day. I am passing on the run after Limberlost as terrain is quite technical for both courses and Burning River 100 is on deck two weeks after...

Monday Evening Running Humour...

I came across this video the other day on YouTube and thought it was absolutely hilarious! There's nothing like seeing a runner with a one-track mind who is practically a zombie to the rest of the world... Hehe :)

Enjoy!

ActiveGEJ's Belated Report for the Inaugural Beast of Burden

Better late than never! Life has been quite busy for me this past month. I can't believe it has already been three weeks since I started recovering from the Beast of Burden Winter 24H run in Lockport, NY... http://activegej.blogspot.com/2010/03/beast-of-burden-winter-24h-belated.html

Re: Spring Warm-up

I have a Q - being new to the OUSer - last year I went to a Haliburton training run . Was that the 'Spring warm-up'? (does it change every year?) or is that separate altogether? That was in July, Nature Girl! :shifty:  I knew that  :shifty: Why was I thinking it was in April? I need some...
