Looking forward to a beautiful run home this afternoon. This weather always makes me feel like skipping - the snow is still out to look at, but no plans for hats or face masks!

I can be quite superstitious too - especially with clothing! I have worn the same tshirt and hoodie for all of Max's operations. Since it worked well the first time, I am afraid to try something new. Looking forward to a good mid afternoon run home from the PD day today. I love running in the sunshi...

Usually alarm goes off at 6:15 to give us all time to be out the door at 7:30.

But today I woke up at 5:30 - very eager to see if it was a snow day!

XC ski planned for tonight.

Last night's run felt so free - most of the sidewalks I was on were 90% bare sidewalk. :D

Have a good day everyone.

I am happy with the month. I always find it hard to stick with my schedule in January- perhaps I rebel against New Year's Resolutions :?

A new month = a new start for getting back in my usual routine.
Starting well with a morning run and then a short ski. I love it when the temperature outside is 'friendly' like this!

Thanks for everyones good wishes on Friday. We had a lovely day!

Good morning! Today is miracle Friday for us! Two years ago we were at Sick Kids and my husband was donating one of his kidneys to our son (7 at the time). Everyone has done amazingly well, and we look forward to each landmarks. Needless to say, today's run will be a celebration of life! :D :D :D

Good morning all!
What a crazy slow run home last night - 6k took over an hour due to unplowed sidewalks and having to run football player style through other peoples footprints. I LOVE those character runs when you are just so proud for having done it :!:
Rest day today.

This is not a goal race (and it is cold outside and slow, slushy running) so I will not be doing any runs over the 20K in preparation for it. I do like the 13-15K idea the Saturday before , so I will incorporate that in this training. For NCM training I plan to bump it up - mileage and intensity! Th...

taper length for a half?

I have run several halfs over the last few years using the RR training plan. The last long runs are 18, 18, 20, 6, race. I am looking at the runnersworld plan and it's long runs are 16, 10, 18, 20, 20, race. I was surprised to see that there is no cutdown in the distance the week before the half. Fo...

Hopefully there will be something good on TV tonight for a treadmill run. A new Office episode would be perfect!

We bought our first hamster today - MC Hammy - and the kids are going crazy telling us everything he does. He is very active, so I may keep him company for a run today - he in his wheel, me on the treadmill! Planning on 8k to end 2008.
