Re: Swampy Sunday . . .

8km run done in and around Fernwood (Victoria's hippie neighbourhood) in 50:38 today. Thought I was going to die near km 7, but I pulled through and made it to 8km.

Thursday and then Friday!!!

Given that I'm the first to post a Thursday thread, and it's 6:30pm on the west coast, I'm going to suggest that this be used for Friday too! :D I ran 6:1 x 6 for a total of 6.62km. My slowest interval was 6:08/km and my fastest interval was 5:53/km. I'm pleased with those times given how I'm just g...

5.77km today. Quite smoky out there. The smells while running by the ocean reminded me of backpacking and building a fire on the beach. The mountains are completely hidden because of the haze.

I finally got out there for another run... 4.61km in 30 minutes, with a few walk breaks thrown in there. 98m further than the last run! Celebrating the little achievements right now...

La did a maple leaf shaped run that she posted on Facebook.

I just looked it up... 12km. That should definitely be added to the total.

Today's tea was horrible and went down the sink after just a few sips. It reminded me of floral-scented soap.

I was going to make a mug of this tea tonight, but I'm drinking the other Mother's Little Helper instead: wine. :shifty:

I enjoyed it, but probably won't buy it as it wasn't that amazing. Maybe if my stash of other teas gets low...

Re: David's Tea 2014 Advent Calendar Discussion

I didn't really enjoy today's tea. It reminded me of the times I've accidentally rubbed coconut scented sunscreen on my lips, and then licked it off. I still have enough for a second mug full, but I won't be drinking it.

Re: David's Tea 2014 Advent Calendar Discussion

I'll be having mine when I get back to work after lunch.

I never got around to drinking yesterday's tea as I made the tea from the day before instead. I wasn't a big fan of the oolong tea.

Re: David's Tea 2014 Advent Calendar Discussion

I haven't tried it yet. It took four different people to open my little container. After the third person couldn't open it, I gave up and made a mug of Santa's Secret.

I stopped by David's Tea to pick up some of my favourite Christmas teas. I'll go in again next month and stock up in huge amounts so they last me a good chunk of next year.

I bought mine this morning. I got to the store at about 9:45 (they opened at 9:30) and they had already sold half of their stock. They had a line-up before they opened.

Now the hard part... waiting until December!

Can steel cut oats be made in a rice cooker? That way, they could be cooked in the morning, but without needing attention. I've never tried it and it could end up being an epic fail...

Re: David's Tea

Not from the spring collection, but I bought the green tea that smells like Hot Lips, but the one that doesn't have hot lips in the name. It's at work so I can't check the name of the flavour. I enjoyed it. I only bought 25g because I was just testing it out. I bought 100g each of Read My Lips and C...

Have you considered increasing the magnesium dosage? You mentioned that 450-1000 seems to be the norm for sleep issues, and you're taking the smaller amount. Of course, I'm not a doctor, nor do I know whether the dosage is based on body weight, or other factors, nor have I done any research. It's on...

Re: David's Tea

I tried to stock up on Santa's Secret after work today, but my store was already out of it. I bought a Christmas 3 pack for 40% off, and it has a bit of Santa's Secret in it, gingerbread tea, and sleigh ride.
