Re: Removal of certain T&F events from Olympics?

I'd like to see Lacrosse make a return to the olympics, it was last a demonstration sport in 1948.

There were 38 nations participating in the worlds this year, so it's becoming more widespread, and Canada won! :)

Re: Splendiferous Sunday! :)

I haven't posted in a while, but my wife has signed herself up for a race in June, it's an oddball 6k race. She doesn't run but is very into Zumba and yoga, we went out for a run last night and I was surprised how well she did, 2.5k @ 7:00/k with no walk breaks, I might just sign up for the race and...

Re: Runners and racers

I've also decided to stop racing, training for races doesn't leave much left in the tank for other activities, and every time I would play a lacrosse game I would injure myself. Sports are more fun than running for me, so my plan is to keep the running to 15-20k a week and see if I can play without ...

Re: The runners wave?

in my experience, a woman running by herself will never acknowledge the wave. 3 or more women over 50 running together is a guaranteed dirty look. There is a group of older guys that runs by my house that I am positive are actually ghosts, in a couple years of seeing them every few weeks I've ...

Re: Vasectomy

Anyone know how long you need to avoid running after the "procedure"? Dr. suggests avoiding strenuous exercise for a 3-4 weeks. I assume running fits in that category. I hope to never find out, some things are just off the table.... My husband is the same- his choice and I'm good with tha...
