Re: End of the second running Boom?

I personally don't enter races anymore, mainly due to cost. Why pay when I can do it for free.

That said I probably will be doing the Millarville half this year. But it'd be my first since probably 2012

Re: Women's 10,000m record smashed...

I think I heard the commentator say she would have broke the 5k record on the back half.

I watched that race and the announcer (pre-race) was so sure that record was not ever going to be challenged, I guess it wasn't really a challenge though.

First back to back yesterday. Once solo, once with stroller. Had to stop near the end at the playground. Starting to feel like a real runner again.

Re: What Are You Struggling With?

Recently, I struggle with getting out the door. I've only ran once since my last half at the end of May. Would have never believed being a new dad would change my life this much.

Re: Strollers - BOB vs. Valco

Just wanted to say good luck with your decision. I have a BOB and I like it but I've never heard of the Valco. Is your baby already here or on the way? Baby due to arrive early June. I had not heard of the valco either until we went to the store. I inquired about the BOB and the lady took us to the...

Strollers - BOB vs. Valco

I wasn't sure whether to bump the old thread or start anew, and i don't feel comfortable posting in the "momma's thread". Anyways, i was wondering if anyone has any info on the "Valco - trimode" baby strollers. I had been planning on the BOB but the wife and I went "bo bebe&...

Re: Donating shoes in Calgary??

All RR stores take old running shoes as well. Each store has an organization it donates to. The one by me donates them to a hospital. I've also heard about Nike taking shoes as well. What a great program! That's what i thought but both stores i contacted said they didn't and they didn't know who wo...

Donating shoes in Calgary??

Might anyone know of a place that accepts donated shoes in Calgary? Or even information on how one can start such a program. Mine are piling up and I will not throw them away. I have called a couple local stores and they did not accept donated shoes and had no idea of where would. Any information is...
