In case anyone is interested, Alli Cain from Groundworx Crossfit drew up a schedule for anyone training for the 4TMiler, but it would work for any fall Half Marathon.
You can get it by signing up at http://4tmiler.ca/list

Re: 4TMiler invitation!
I will definitely consider running the 10 miler. Where can I find last years results ? Hey! It would be great to see you there! Best place to find times would be http://www.roadraceresults.com/display-race-results.php?racename=2014-tom-taylor-trail-10-miler" onclick="window.open(this.href);return f...

Re: 4TMiler invitation!
I ran it the first year, as it's a local race for me (live in Bradford), but the timing is always off...it is a great event though! Thanks for the feedback! :D I've run it the past two years and timing was ok. We're using the same provider this year, so should be on point. :D No I meant the "d...

4TMiler invitation!
Hi Maniacs! I haven't been on the forum much lately, but wanted to invite you to a race I'm hosting in Newmarket, ON (25 minutes north of Toronto). It's called the 4TMiler - but don't worry, it's not 40 miles - it's called the 4TMiler because it's on the T om T aylor T rail and it's a T en miler. (t...

Sportinglife 10k "Big News"?
Just checked the website to see if registration is open (or even a date set) and saw this: http://www.sportinglife10k.ca/images/SL10k_toronto_exciting_news.jpg So, what's this exciting news? Judging by the photo, my first guess was a route change to a waterfront course, which would make sense to the...

Registration for CRS races were supposed to open on the 12th, SL10k was supposed to open today...Still nothing on both.
What's the deal? Permit issues? Bad planning?
Anyone have an inside scoop?

Re: Is their a "best" diet for weight loss?
I think most people, regardless of approach will admit that food quality is an important factor. That means avoiding processed crap and eating out.
Whether you go low carb, veg, paleo, etc all depends on how your body reacts/tolerates certain foods (and of course personal preferences).

Re: 3 years is enough. My Open letter to Goodlife/Mississaug
Even if one was on the Saturday and one was on the Sunday, you could think of doing some sort of double. I doubt they'd move to a less appealing date to draw the <1% of people who would double up on marathons! :) jono Yes, initially I agreed with the idea that they should be on different days, and ...

Re: STWM: My first (and last?) full marathon
Don't get discouraged. That sounds exactly like my first experience (@5:19). Honestly, I think it stunted my running for at least a year. I went from being steadily motivated all the time to some severe bouts of disinterest (usually followed by some self ass-kicking and fighting through it). I'm sig...

Re: 3 years is enough. My Open letter to Goodlife/Mississaug
TBH, I'll go on record as saying I think Goodlife needs to move. It was Mississauga's weekend for years. Also, Glassman had a chance when he was organizing SL10k to roll it into that weekend. Ooch could have made more, it would have filled the gap (they only have a 5k, half, full), and it's along th...

Re: Are colour runs are a faux-charity scam ??
Not to sound like a variety of 4-7 letter expletives, but I do these things for myself. Yeah, it's nice when there's a charity that benefits, but mostly, it's something I do for me. It may sounds selfish, but I don't think I'm the only one. Not to mention, I don't even think Color Me Rad even said t...
