Re: compression socks

I've found that they provide some relief (not as much strain) to the calves during a run.

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear I am not the only one with feelings of regret at races. Nice job on your first ATB. Will you be back for more? Maybe not next year, but I can't just end my ATB story like that right? :) Congratulations, on a solid race for your first ATB ... As mentioned, in the ...

Re: ATB Parking Question

It's not so hard to pick a section in the area and meet there afterwards. I've never had any problems. And the fact that I finish within the 5 min window I give out ahead helps. They know when to watch. My name usually gets called too by the announcer guy. That's true, it wouldn't be difficult to m...

Re: ATB Parking Question

I know you didn't ask this, but I wouldn't recommend going to Copps to see your husband finish. I would recommend picking an area along the route (between 20 and 24k). You will be able to see eachother and give him the boost he needs to finish. Parking (and getting in and out) is not an issue either...

Re: The Perfect Runner (Nature of Things Episode)

The full episode is available at the link in the original post. I thought it was pretty good overall. A little oversimplified explanation of some of the theories, and not quite at the level I would expect of a David Suzuki endorsed product. Maybe it would have been better as a series, so they could ...

Re: ATB Question-The hill at the end

Anyone looking for a time around 2:30 is more than welcome to pace the hills with me. Look for the whitest legs on the course...that's me.

I've included all of the hills (from King Road to Valley Inn) in all of my LSD runs this year, so we've become good friends.
