Rochester Half Marathon

Good morning,
I'm wondering if anyone has run the Rochester half and if so, what's the elevation like?

Thanks, Kim.

Re: Lisa's Chilly half!

Congratulations Lisa - glad to see all the hard work paying off.

I didn't make it - I have been really sick with a cold and as tough as it was, I decided I was better off not running this morning.

Re: Chilly Half Marathon - March 4, 2012 (Burlington)

Thanks for the parking info but I didn't end up running this morning. I've been sick and was holding out until the last minute to decide whether or not to run and decided it just wasn't worth it.

Congratulations to all of you who did run; looked like a great morning for it!

Thanks, Kim.

Thanks but a little further than I'd like to travel (I'm in south Mississauga and was hoping your location was the west end of Toronto).

Hill Training - question for Fingerboy

I'm in my 3rd week of training for Boston and really need to make sure I get my hill training in. I saw a post on the RR forum where you mention that a large group of runners get together to run hills in Toronto. Where and when is this and can anyone join in?

Thanks, Kim.

RR marathon program

I start training for Boston soon and was thinking of going back to the tried and true (for me anyway) RR program. The last time I belonged to one of their clinics was in 2005. Does anyone know if the recommended paces/distances have changed since then?

Thanks, Kim.

Re: Boston Marathon qualifying articles

I'm hoping to run Boston 2012. I qualified at the Hamilton marathon in November with a 3:56:27. It's funny, when we were running (I ran with 2 friends), I kept thinking in the back of my mind that we should be pushing for at least a 3:55 in case the qualifying times change but one of my buddies was ...

Yeah, I heard some people got delayed by over 4 minutes by the train.

Alfie,
I usually do my long runs out of Port Credit (Mississauga) or High Park (Toronto).

Re: Hamilton Marathon

Good news. The chip people acknowledged the timing issue (we weren't the only ones) and will be adjusting our times accordingly (it could take up to a week for it to reflect on their website). Good thing we ran with our garmins!!
