So i emailed the organizers of Mississauga and politely expressed my concern for the runners finishing at 5+ hours, how the fun run interfered and there was no support for the runners left "out there." It wasn't all negative; I started off with a statement thanking them for the event and that I was ...

Congrats on your first marathon finish! Actually I think we may have seen you coming around the last bend around that little lake just as we were leaving the area cause we saw the 2k runners right after. You were running with a chinese guy who must have been CKCT and putting in quite the clip if I ...

I called in sick today. I dragged myself to work yesterday when I probably shouldn't have. Ran 42km, now my immune system is crashing :(

Oh, I am so stiff today. It's like I ran a marathon yesterday or something

Good thing is that I don't feel any signs of injury...just soreness. Knees, hips and ankles are fine :)

I'm home! And I'm a MARATHONER!!!! :D :D :D I have to say that it was torture. Did a lot of walking between 29-38k. Then, somehow I found it in me to run the last 3.5k. Chip time: 4:54:42. Slower than I had hoped, but I don't care. I AM A MARATHONER!!! Race report later...need sleep now :P

I didn't sleep well at all. Tried to go to bed at 10:30 last night. but when I lay down it felt like my heart was going faster than normal...like the feeling I get when I am nervous. Thought it would go away after a few minutes, but it never did. bf didn't get home until after midnight and I growled...

Did you do the races that are scheduled in that plan?

I did a 10k race somewhere in the middle...large hill at the end of it stopped me from running a sub-60min 10k :( I finished in 1:00:57.

Hi blue_cup, I trained for a 2:15 half last year. I ran my first half in June 05 (scotiabank vancouver half), aiming just to finish. My time was 2:28:14. I then signed up for the Toronto half in October, aiming for 2:15. After resting for a few weeks after the June race, I started a 12-week training...

Is your first name Ann? (We're making some big signs with everyone's name on them...) yup, I'm Ann (no "e"!!! :  ). Too bad I don't have a RM shirt...at any rate, I'm still not sure what I am going to wear! We might be running very close together!! My 1/2 PR is 2:12:55! Watch out for orange s...

Mississauga marathon. First full. I ran my first 5k (Run for the Cure) in Oct 04. It took me about 33min. I was so happy. Since then, I've done 3 10k's and 3 halfs. PR for half is 2:12:56. No time goal for the marathon, I just want to get it done. Back in Oct 04, I could have never imagined going fo...

Did yoga last night to loosen up the legs. Hoping for a good night's sleep tonight...the all-imporant-2-days-before-the-race rest :)

Wishing the rain away from Mississauga on Sunday...clouds are OK, showers are not OK!
