Re: One Day......

Sue. You really are SUCH a strong runner. There is no doubt that you will see a 3 in your lifetime! You gritted and showed great strength and ran hard even when you knew it wasn't to be your perfect day and THAT folks, is what gets people a time that starts with a 3. You were so smooth and so well p...

Re: Dinner for Company

Great stuff! I ended up doing a fusion of the 2 chicken recipes. I stuffed chicken breasts with Boursin cheese, wrapped them in prosciutto. Then, I sweated a bunch of garlic in olive oil, removed the garlic, softened some mushrooms in the olive oil. Then scraped the cheese that leaked out of the ch...

Re: Homemade Marmalade Recipe

Agree with kab if you want the bitter taste wait until winter to make. However, if you have some rhubarb kicking around you might want to try this one: Rhubarb marmalade 8 c chopped rhubarb 12 c sugar 2 oranges with juice, grated with rind 2 lemons Bring to full boil at least 3 minutes. Add 1 bottle...

I made one that took the zucchini and put it through the food processor. It was really nice when made with a dark coco. http://www.theyummylife.com/Zucchini_Brownies

Re: How to be the best support person

I find triathlon is busy. Tell her where to look for you on the course. Decide this upfront, before the event. It's a huge boost to know someone is waiting for you. Be prepared and offer to schlep all the gear post race. There is a wet wetsuit, shoes, bike, food, clothes and bags! And finally, don't...

Running room instructor

Who here on RM has been a running room instructor? What are the various roles in clinics and which ones are paid vs volunteer with a discount coupon??

If you instructed, what kind of time did you put into it?

Thanks!

FP - that is tough! You are still a good mom - accidents happen. My "bad mommy" moments have come from the 2 occasions when I took Alex to the doctor for a quick checkup because he had a nasty cough to be told to pack him up and take him to emerg immediately as he was really very sick. Wh...

Mr c lab mom (who is a nurse btw) had a steamer in mr c lab room. As a child he tripped on the cord and has a huge skin graft on his arm as a result. It happens, he is no worse for the wear and grew up as a normal well adjusted adult. We even tease her about it and now she laughs about it, realizing...

Tough tough race. Not many things worse than the feeling of not being able to breathe. I know you'll be back at NCM to run a 10km (or more!) that will leave you feeling satisfied. Great job.

Re: SATURDAY get ready and GO

About 18 km. longest run since Van. Felt sluggish but I think I just have to push through.... Started off in capris, long sleeve and a t shirt, part way was in shorts and t shirt, and ended up in long sleeve and shorts.
