Re: Runners Knee - How Did Recover?
I've struggled with the same knee issue for about a year. Some athletic therapy visits and a small brace called the Patellavator have helped a lot.

Re: Manitoba Marathon Q's & A's
Great memories reading thru these old posts. Habs even posted for the first time on RM in this thread! I'm sure we'll be around for marathon weekend. We've run the relay the last couple of years with friends, but not sure what our plans are this year. Our team name has been Rock, Paper, Scissors, Li...

quality running stores: Edmonton and Winnipeg
Both are good choices. Eric at City Park is good at fittings and he has a treadmill in the store. So, City Park would be my preference out of the two.

Slightly further than 1500km but worth the trip...Paavo Nurmi Marathon: http://www.marathonguide.com/races/racedetails.cfm?MIDD=522130810 . Bingerunner ran the full and I ran the half a few years ago. It's a great event. It's a hilly course though so maybe not what you're looking for after Red Deer.

How cold is too cold?
I love my sugoi bun toasters!! I have the RR version of them and love them as well. They are an essential layer on a cold day. This week I find it too cold to run outside. It's -29 this morning with a windchill of something crazy. I'm quite content on my treadmill in the morning. At least I can wea...

Current conditions in penticton are reportedly 19 degrees and some cloud- going up to a high of 27. That will be pretty hot for the run. Better than last year, one of my co-workers did it and said it was in the 30s all day, peaking at 34. Craziness! Good luck to all! My app is saying 25 and cloudy....

I'm on vacation and loving having no schedule for a change. I ran 5km this morning and I'm off to yoga soon. Then I'll be watching the Opening Ceremonies and toasting Pam's (PrairieKid) hard work over the last year making them happen. Fingers crossed they go off without a glitch!

Busy day. Oh, and pick u...
