I'm in, and have volunteered to co-captain the Fun team... Excellent news for the fun team! We need more fun team runners! Geez, at the very least we need more runners on our list than the Non-Fun team list! The race is on! Me and my other half would be interested in participating on the fun...

X-country skiing is an amazing sport to get into. I hope you enjoy it! There are a few important differences to keep in mind when deciding between classic and skate techniques. The weather and conditions are a big factor. If the areas you ski in are likely to experience a lot of freeze/thaw patterns...

Not to mention the fact that in the absence of CHO (or calories from any source) your body isn't capable of absorbing the electrolytes in the drink. So you are really getting nothing from the Ultima....... except the water part of it i guess... but why pay for something you can get out of the tap? ...

It's no suprise that those who train less for a marathon will suffer more strain than those who train more. And recovery takes longer. Other studies have shown other types of heart damage after a marathon. But none have shown any lasting effect. Robert, I'd like those articles. I'll pm you with my ...

The entire aricle and the editorial are available by subsription only, but if anyone wants copies I can email you PDFs...

I'm also signed up for the half. I had hoped to get some serious training done after the Scotiabank Waterfront half and shave significant minutes off of the 2:08 I did there. Sadly this has been a dismal failure. Therefore, I will just run for fun and see what happens. Hey, your 2:08 sounds pretty ...
