Re: What to do with cauliflower snow

Seeing this too late. I really only use it as a rice substitute (e.g., with a curry). I’ve done cauliflower pizza crust and cauliflower oatmeal, but the rice substitute is the only one I’ve repeated. Oh, and I guess mashed, but I haven’t done that in a while!

I really enjoyed reading this report! Loved the pictures, loved the commentary and reflections. Love the buckle!

And I think it's great that you donated your old medals to such a worthy cause.

Congratulations! Definitely not a quitter!

Re: Ottawa jogger in condo ad wins precedent-setting privacy fight

interesting! i'm increasingly disturbed by the number of times this happens in public events, although not always for commercial purposes. i guess my bigger concern is that even when this is done legally (e.g., an explicit waiver saying your image might be used), it seems like it's hard to opt-out u...

Do you remember our erinmcd took a Kenyan home with him? I don't remember this story! http://www.runningmania.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=47719 On Saturday morning we head down to Picton to meet friends for brunch and to pick up my race kit. While I was the expo, I got chatting with the lone ...

That's why he needs to be told.

But told what? Medals are "special"?

i'm on the fence about the chain one because i understand their intent, but it does seem like it could dampen the moment for other runners behind them (maybe i'm overly concerned about the finish line photo ). the second one i think is ADORABLE. i laughed out loud at the comparison to the super...

it's great that we can track their times, but i wish there was some way to capture the 'ridiculous enthusiasm'. :D nothing like being a spectator at the boston marathon - which i could be there to see it!

that heartbreak hill camera is great, though - thanks for the link to that, jwolf.

Just to clarify - I don't think they're necessarily silly, I just think there's a market for them and so it would be inherently money-driven. "Ploy" is probably a bit pejorative for what I'm trying to say - but demand and money are surely factors. If women didn't want them and races were l...

I have been in races where the number of female registrants have been higher than the male. If someone really has self esteem issues and think by running with men is an issue, then perhaps they should work on their persona first before deciding to enter a race. I doubt anyone is checking anyone out...

Re: WOW...Utter BS

The organizers are just using it as a ploy to make money and make it seem like they care about feminism. a ploy to make money? one could argue that this would deter men from running the race, and there is a ton of competition for running races for them to choose from, so it seems like a bad strategy.

Hmmm...some interesting responses so far, but I don't see how women paying more for haircut plays into this....who are the people doing the cutting usually? Yes female barbers and hairdressers  it's relevant because you would think that men and women would pay the same amount for the same pro...
