Thanks everyone...

I would like to thank every one for the vibes and well wishes. This is just a minor set back and I will soon be running like the wind again. I think I have played my last game of squash though. Once bitten... I have found another use... http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h124/Scadian/IMG00015.jpg

CrossFit

Uh, thanks Kara (CAW). Crossfit is a great workout program. Remember, scale to your fitness level! The WOD (WorkOut of the day) is often something crazy that few people can do so you can scale back the number of reps (where is asks you to do 20 chin-ups, do what you can, or do them with assistance.....

I was introduced to these shoes by a friend of mine. I like the fit and feel of them. I am a sprinter by nature and often go out too hard! The day after I workout (usually 1-2k) in these, my calves hurt. I have been away on course and forgot them at home, but will get back into using them. I will le...

Thanks...

Thanks everyone! No , unfortunately I did not catch the fish. The Commanding Officer (CO) did call me out in front of the Battery and asked whether they knew that my keys ended up on the bottom of the river. Also mentioned that if I had finished we would have taken second place as a major unit in th...

Scadian's Military Ironman: "I saw a fish" *long*

What does not kill us makes us stronger. I would like to start by saying this is my second shot at this race. My race report from 2006: http://www.runningmania.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10726&highlight=military+ironman So once again, I woke up early (0245 was the alarm time but I was awake at 02...

Surprise!

Well I didn't know this thread existed!! Thanks for the concern. Yes, I am fine and will start work on a race report to explain everything. I am not sure that this has been made public knowledge but I guess we should really let everyone know that Jaimer and I are no longer together, she decided that...

Scadian's ATB (long)

We got to the race a little later than planned but got to say hello to a couple of people in sect 122 and met more in the paddock when we finally got to the starting “line.” I said goodbye to Jaime and headed toward the 2:55 pace bunny (first time I have ever seen a fabled ‘pace bunny’) with 5 minut...

I know what it is like to miss your goals but you still ran a helluva race to post a 2:31 on that course. Not all bad!

I am sure you will get it next time!
