I actually CAUGHT a golf ball. I was across the street from a golf course. The ball bounced once on the street, deflected off a garage and came at me and I caught it without missing a stride. Of course there were no witnesses unless the golfer saw it, but I doubt it.

We alternate skipping and running for the warmup at the beginning of our kickboxing classes with a weighted rope. It is a great workout that teaches you to be light on your feet and enhances coordination.

I have just finished a jar of Endurox for immediately after running and kickboxing. I think that it helps as the balance of carbs/protein is just right. I have felt ready for the next workout when it comes around. As it is very expensive I am going to switch to good old chocolate milk now and see if...

Except for the first pair at running room I have gotten all of my shoes from ebay.

Expect to factor in duty. They seem to get charged about one third of the time. Maybe $15-$20.

I usually end up saving from 25 to 50 dollars.

EDIT - Finally Back Running - NOT

AUGHHHHHHH . . . FINALLY !!!!!!!!!!!!! Before the Manitoba Marathon I really hurt my calf, but ran it anyway, and I reinjured it each time I began running again. So I forced myself to stay away from running and only cross train for three weeks. Yesterday I went for a 5K tempo trail run and NO PAIN! ...

Pam:

You need to know what an encouragement you are.

Tina and I stayed after my half to watch you cross the finsh line with Dwayne. And no matter what goal you missed I was still in awe of someone able to run 26.2 miles in the time you did.

The only problem with that is that it would be an average over quite a long time period, 10 mins.

Garmin Question

I am a Garmin 305 newbie but thought I had it set up just the way I needed it for the MB Marathon yesterday. Because the current pace fluctuates I also display the last lap pace and have the autolap set to 1/4 miles. This gives me a more accurate pace. Just before the race I set the Interval workout...

How tight are your quads and hamstrings? I noticed that when I insisted on stretching my calves and forgot about my hamstrings and quads, I had more calves pain. Make sure you stretch everything when you stretch, it's so easy to overdo it on the calves stretches and create more problems. Good luck!...

Endurosport should have The Stick in the GTA ... :P As for achilles tendonitis, I may sound like a broken record, but ... I would tend to look at your gait analysis and ensure that you are wearing proper shoes, in particular if you are a pronator ... 'cause unless you get to the matter of th...

So, yes, it may be worth investigating with a visit to a Sports Doctor or Physiotherapist ... and, it may be just a simple case of biomechanics and/or different shoes required ... I highly recommend getting a Sports Doctor to look at you. My current injury started as calf pain months ago. I ...
