Re: Wetsuits for women who are not small lol...any suggestio

Yeah for the longest time I was the only maniac in sask. I know that's changed though. I live about an hour north of Saskatoon, in prince Albert. There's a large running/tri community here but no tri shops per say. Saskatoon is probably the closest. Might have to make a trip there for some shopping...

Where in Sask are you? I just moved back to Ottawa from Regina. Maniacs are few and far between in Sask!

Re: Wetsuits for women who are not small lol...any suggestio

Hi Deb, I'm curvy too.. I agree with the Nineteen comments and my friend has an Xterra one that she loves. They guarantee sizing apparently. I have a Desoto two piece. They are a little pricy, but I was able to get a larger bottom and a smaller top. My complaint about women's wetsuits is that they a...

I've been riding on the same Minoura Mag forever too. I have ridden the Kurt Kinetic at spin classes and it was lurvley. Standing was so nice compared to the mag! My LBS has them on sale for $299. My bro has a Tacx which was pretty nice too.. You should check out the sufferfest videos too. Great ent...

Re: Oh my aching body! Runners with physical jobs??

Can you run / bike in the morning before work? I don't have a physical job, but I find this helps just with being tired at the end of the day in general. I think this is what I am going to have to do, Jessie! I don't start until at least 9:45 and my daughter leaves for school at 8:15 so there is so...

Oh my aching body! Runners with physical jobs??

I used to work a nice desk job and would have pretty fresh legs when I got to doing my runs/bikes etc. I'm back at school now and I am working part time at the big Ikea so my job is much more physical than before and Holy Carp, I am having major troubles with my training. Because I am on my feet all...

Newtons in the Winter?

I'm on my third pair but didn't run in the winter with them when I lived in Regina- I was a wimp and ran at the track. Just making an assumption here, but they are pretty meshy and I would think that my feet would freeze in the winter. What do all you Newton wearers do in the winter? Thick socks? Sw...

Have you tried that store off Heron on Kaladar? (What the heck is it called??) Fabricland has spandex but the price is rediculous. You might try online - I used to order from a place in Calgary that is not around anymore, but there are some other places. Seattle fabrics comes to mind... There is als...

Glad she is ok! There was a post on Trirudy.com a few years back about a guy who had a seagull swoop into his front wheel while on the path. Men 14/15 are great but seriously CinC #10... Might be fast but PLEASE buy him a tri suit stat! Don't be disrespecting Faris and his speedo and crop top. That's old school triathlon at it's best! I have a speedo and crop top I bought in AUS, but only wear it for HOT races. Haven't worn since Calgar...

Re: Motorola announces Motoactv, 'the ultimate fitness device'

The only advantage I can see over using an iPhone or Android phone is that it seems to be small. I agree re: Nike + - it was never very accurate. Made me look like I was running way faster than I really was.. Cool idea for the gadget obessed, though, but I have to agree with Mike- it may be time to ...

Commando in shorts with built-ins = a no-brainer. Commando in tights = I don't know. I want one more layer down there. It seems like a dromedary-metatarsal waiting to happen. Bwa ha ha!!! I hate going commando, but also hate the potential chaffing from panties. I bought some lulu panties and they s...

I'm scared too! Was traumatised by farm dogs in Saskatchewan. I would normally just pedal like heck too... I don`t think they are out for blood, but they obviously like the chase. One little brat almost got creamed by a semi when he tried to cross a busy highway. Hope you are having a nice time in t...
