Wow... Looks like there were more than a few hiccups. I think I will take a personal stand that I won't run Blue Nose until they've ironed out the glitches and have had successful, mostly glitch-free races for a few years in a row. I understand that the organizers tried to change the route for traf...

I'd love to do it again, but 2005 is still too much a recent memory for me. There was soo much pride in the arena just before starting the race, the way that the organizers pulled off arace with a completely revised course in a couple of hours was legendary. One of the most vivid memories fo...

Another hijack, but in keeping with previous posts, it really grinds my gears about the company logos and brands. I shop around for the best prices and prefer not to wear clothing emblazoned with corporate advertisements, unless they are given to me. Why should I (or anyone) pay $100.00 average for...

I can't say that I really make my purchasing decisions based on the HealthCheck logo on the package. If I'm buying a new (for me) product, I always read the lables and decide for myself whether or not it is "healthy". However, I'm sure many people are. It's a real shame if they're being misled that...

Garth is right, do not ignore this! I tried to control my cholesterol with exercise and that obviously didn't work. High cholesterol is pretty serious if not controlled. If you're worried about being on medication changing your lifestyle, believe me the alternative will really make you change things.

Suess, you'll likely end up wanting to upgrade to a road/tri specific shoe after year or two with a MTB shoe becuase the sole will soften up. My MTB shoes are an older model of the Sidi Bullet, they're great, but the soles did soften up after two yeas of solid commuting and using them for road ridin...

Ohio Teen breks lg in X-country race and crawls across line

I just saw the footage of this young girl and it was an amazing show of determination. Apparently she had an undiagnosed stress fracture and her leg broke in two places about 45 feet from the line and she crawled across after trying to stand and fallling again - owie! http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,...

Yay. Amateur athletes need all the help that they can get, but it would be better to support them before they get to the Olympics. Canada's carding system sucks - they give these people next to no money, so they have to work a job (or have generous parents) and try to train to an international stan...
