Look at the hotels in Cambridge - we stayed there last time and are staying there again.

We initially booked with VRBO but long story short - it didn't work out. Lots of other folks use it though, and are successful.

Portland has a Nordic Walking division, not many are entered tho.

I do NW 5 days a week - on weekends, my longer walks are with one or another of the 4 dogs.

Walkers 2009 Challenge!

Any walkers still left on these forums? I'm aiming to up the mileage to 1000 kms for the year of 2009 - and looking to move up to at least one 10k event during the year. Anybody else? hmm... am i the only one reading or posting here? dragged out the RACING PAWS (new set of rubber asphalt paws for the nordic poles) last sunday and did the 5k at niagara, zippy time for me with a PB of 57:37 .. its taken me YEARS (literally, years!) to get from the 60minute mark down to this awesome...

You're way too modest, Suez! There were walkers out there that did only ONE loop (12.5k) of that 25k event in the same time you did TWO loops of it :wink:

Plus you beat out some runners - way to go!!

.... "sometimes" .. you can use the expired ones past the expiry date ... such as the 20% off ones from Vector cereal that expired on Sep 7, they will take those for a month or two past the expiry date .. not sure if they will take the Nestea 15% off one or not, but you could always try!

.. just back in from nice 2k lunchtime walk(up/downhill) - wearing my nice new pink danskin top ... yippee, i feel more girly girl now that I'm slowly starting to revamp the dark (black, navy) wardrobe for walking/biking and getting a few nicer things to wear ... slow but sure!

Welcome to the forum!

Generally stick to 5k events myself - although bumping up to a 6k on Oct 1 at the police college in Aylmer for the Tornado Fun Run Walk Blade Bike event.
