Well done on a bum hamstring to boot!
It was great to meet you and talk with you on Friday! Any completed marathon is a good days running in my book!

Re: old garmin data....
Can you migrate all your workouts to Garmin Connect? If so, you can then use https://tapiriik.com/#" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to automatically backup each workout TCX file to a DropBox account. Or you could connect SportTracks to SportsTracks mobi (http://sporttracks.mobi/" oncl...

Re: BSX personal exercise/lactate monitor
I bought the Kickstarter Run and Bike version of the BSX Insight. I assume it will be late as most Kickstart projects, but I will let you know what I think once I receive it and have had a chance to play with it.
I love data and I though this looked like another cool data collection tool.

Don't believe the long range forecast.... if you don't like the weather in Calgary, wait 10 minutes!
Last year was 3 degrees and sunny at the start of the race, warming up to 14 by 10:30. I hope for similar this year!

Boston - More Than A Feeling!!!
I will warn you now, this report is long! Seven years ago, after completing my first marathon, I had a dream to one day run the Boston Marathon! I got older and faster, and I was so thrilled to qualify for Boston and make the cutoff with a couple of minutes to spare. I knew 2014 was going to be a sp...

Boston Accommodations
I am looking for advice on accommodations for Boston. Last time I checked, there was nothing available in the downtown area expect for maybe a few very pricey Hotels. Is anyone going (or knows of someone going) that would have room in their room for another person? Any other resources for runners to...

Re: 2014 Calgary Marathon Turns 50
Why is the web page for United Airlines open? Why did I just get approval from my new boss? (well, nothing will be bought today.) I can't see anywhere on the web page that either the marathon or the half marathon sells out. Are there limits? Habs, what time is the pre-race meeting you have to go to...

Sorry to hear that Mike, get some rest... It was a chilly 10k in Banff this morning but still enjoyable.

Re: Melissa's Anyone?
I am heading to Banff on Saturday for Melissa's Road Race. I have a 22k bib but may drop to the 10k, I am still not feeling 100% recovered from my Ultra. Is anyone else going this year? Yep. Feeling the same way. Wanna share a ride? Mike, The wife and I am making a day trip out of it, so no thanks ...

My chin up bar is in my utility room in my basement where there is no finished ceiling. It is just a steel bar attached to the floor joists by a couple of short 2x4s. I am 5'11" and I can grab the bar without reaching, but it works.

Yep, only need trail shoes if you are going to hit the trails up on the mountain. Road shoes are fine for the KVR.

Re: What's your gym equipment? What do you recommend?
Along with my bike/trainer and treadmill, I have an Life Fitness G4 Universal Gym, Bow-Flex Select Tech Dumbbells, a set of kettles bells, a bosu ball, two different sizes of exercise balls, a TRX suspension trainer, and a chin up bar. If I was doing it all over, I would get a pulley machine instead...
