Re: IAAF corruption, bribery, "whole different scale" to FIF

Wow... Nasty stuff. For the record, I hope they are banned. It is the only way the IAAF can demonstrate they are committed to cleaning up the sport. Agreed. My favourite part was when Pound said he hoped Russia would voluntarily withdraw and clean up its program. Yeeeeeah right  And right on c...

Re: Nike Women Race Series in Toronto! June 14, 2015

You're right, it's pricey - but what you're paying for in most cases is the experience. Just like any event - there will be $50 concerts and $120+ concerts...sometimes the price difference is worth it, sometimes it's not, and people will disagree on the point. I entered the lottery because I have a...

Re: Nike Women Race Series in Toronto! June 14, 2015

Yes it is on the island. The logistical stuff is difficult, but it's so nice running over there. Flat with great views. I'm actually torn. The 10K I ran last year (Spring Fling in Sunnybrook park) is the same weekend. I have a certain amount of loyalty to the RD at that race. I actually feel bad fo...

I am really sad it isn't DC this spring. It was such a nice race. But TO could be fun! I did read in the comments that Nike said it will be on Toronto Island.

Bizarre and why would she have had a urine sample at the race? She isn't a professional or sounded like she won anything.

Re: David's Tea 2014 Advent Calendar Discussion

Like last year Tori and I are pretty much opposites! Coco Chai roobois I enjoy a lot and couldn't do more than 1 sip of English breakfast! Cocomint cream is light but I like the flavor. You and Smiles are tea twins and I am definitely the polar opposite! One year all the teas I hated were dropped o...

The English breakfast is a really nice staple tea from David's. I always have a tin of it on hand.

This morning is cocomint cream. It isn't bad. Has a bit of a toothpaste smell I find. But it is quite pleasant.

I am so not surprised. I figure this has been going on the whole time since they were in the USSR. It is so common in cross country skiing and biathlon. They seem to get caught every so often but you don't hear much about it in N.America since those are not super popular sports here. I have always j...

I am a bit behind on my tea but got caught up this morning.

I liked the chai on day 2, yesterday's oolong was meh. Today is Pink Flamingo. I like this one! I have bought it before and it is very good as iced tea. I love the citrus smell.

Glad to see this thread revitalized! I think that you have to be ok with sometimes being a bit selfish and putting yourself first. Things like a tidy house can slip to the side, but getting in some regular exercise makes for a happier, healthier mama! From a practical point of view, I find running ...
