You have to work for my department Transport not to have an underground secure bike cage. That's the least of the problems at TC HQ. On topic, I ride a single speed custom build commuter. It's sorta like a hybrid I guess. And I lock my bike to a rack with a lock like this in a lock...

Just got an e-mail that a running friend passed away yesterday. Ted Swain - one of the Grant Running Room clinic instructors. He ran the WPS Half and I saw him after the race and he seemed okay (a bit off but I thought that maybe he wasn't thrilled with his race). I ran my first marathon with him -...

Because it's perfectly okay for people (as they do now) to post somewhat, um, "questionable" plans or ideas and really only want to hear unconditional praise or affirmation. There's also a fairly constant critiquing of methods and idealogies anytime anyone posts something... So which is it? ...

Turkey: Fresh or Frozen

I'm hosting an early Thanksgiving this Saturday and trying to decide if getting a fresh turkey is good idea.

What do you do? If you buy fresh, where do you get it? How far in advance do you have to order?

Let me know what level you decide on.

riding fixed

Any fixie fans out there? I bought a custom built single-speed last week and had been riding it free-wheel so far. But, I flipped my hub this morning and went for a ride and it went pretty good. Getting started is the trickiest part so far. I'm starting to feel the love for fixed and wondered if the...

I don't think that's right and it's VERY frustrating as a driver when cyclists do that, because then you have to keep passing them over and over ...
