funny, both Pierre & Cache Mundy had the the exact same sentance...

I can only hope to reiterate that we are not saying that the line between running and the fictitious "jogging" we refer to is about speed but rather about an emotion and passion for running.

The 220 minus age for me is way off... According to that my MHR is 185, but when sprinting up hills or full exertion my Garmin reads 201-206 as a max. I know the Garmin isn't perfect but It can't be that far off! Can your MHR be based on a series of sprints at max effort? It may not be as exact as a...

hi Tortise! Glad to have seen you!

just read your race report, sounds like you had a good day!
Not sure if you runners noticed but we were way understaffed!! We were expecting 100 volunteers, got 25!!

I think 30 or 35 total people passed out water to 8 or so thousand runners (both ways!)

Well, I just missed out on my "goal" of 5k in under 30, but I did have a pb of 5.3k 30:31, 6:04 pace! Prior to today I was at 6:30 to 7:00 pace for an average 5k run. Plus, I am down from 270lbs a little more than a year ago to under 235lb (234.75  ) ....If I hadn't stopped to tie my damn shoe...
