Re: What am I forgetting?

It's on the shore at PEI. It won't be hot. I'll be lucky if I can wear shorts without freezing at that hour of the day.

Re: What am I forgetting?

Have the body glide but it wasn't on my list! Repair kit is on my bike. Need to get some cheap flip flops and never even thought about sunscreen.

Re: Beer Can Chicken

I think I will look for the little stands. I'm more concerned about the paint etc on the can than the actual aluminum. But, I do realize, in the grand scheme of things, it's probably not significant.

Re: Beer Can Chicken

I know I am overly concerned about such things, but don't you worry about what chemicals you are burning off and sending into your chicken from the can?

Having said that, I can't do beer, but do you think cider would work? I can't imagine why not, but does beer give it a special taste?

Re: Celiac Disease

Supportive friends make it so much easier. Hopefully she's learning to tune out the unhelpful ones and not let it get to her. Like your daughter, I hate having the focus on me and what I'm eating. I find it always turns into a discussion of allergies/celiac, and I'm pretty tired of talking about it!...

Re: Putting a bike helmet on a toddler?

If you think he can buckle it himself, I'd try holding a small cloth there while he buckles it. I'm thinking something like a baby washcloth. You could hold it, which wouldn't tickle as much and he could clip it up, and the cloth would protect his neck.

Staples?

Seriously though - I don't know. My youngest is almost 9 and she still winces every time we do it up. (Of course, she pinched her neck in it last week, so that didn't help matters...)

I KNOW! Everybody who drives faster than me is insane and everyone slower is an idiot.

Funny thing is, it doesn't seem to matter what speed I'm going, the rule always applies!

Re: Quinoa - Tree nut free

FWIW I'm just about as allergic to nuts as you can possibly be and I eat stuff that says "processed in a plant" etc... It's not a problem. I think it's just an ass covering move on the manufacturers part. I wouldn't eat quinoa from a bulk bin though - that is risky.

Thanks JoJo. Your attack was much more vicious than DH's. I'm not surprised it took a long time to deal with it. I was also saying to my hubby last night that I would have been much more freaked out than he was. Update: Bylaw officer has issued fines for being off property, for biting and for not be...

My daughter's idea for how this should be handled: "The bad pet owners should have to go to pet jail where they will have to eat pet food. Then the pet police can train the dog good things and it can go back to the pet store and be a good pet for good pet owners. Then the bad pet owners should ...

We should hear this evening how everything went. She's at least getting a fine for having the dog off her property and another fine for the attack. Re: Dog Attack

RCMP have been called and have turned it over to the bylaw officer, who just called. DH is actually out picking out daughter up from the movies but the officer will call back in 10 minutes. I'm guessing it won't be the first time he's had this complaint. Or maybe it is, and that's why the dog is sti...
