Double Bellybuster – EndurRun Sport Series

I completed the EndurRun Half Marathon, Stage 1 of the 7 Stage Weeklong Series in 2012 and knew this was a great event. For some reason, perhaps lack of proximity to home, I discarded a more serious entry for 2013. But once the Midsummer Night Run changed its route, I revisited my August options. I ...

Re: Toronto Marathon vs. Toronto Waterfront Marathon

For more useless information you didn't ask for, here is how I'd rank the Ontario Marathon Events I've done, from best to worst. I'll be doing the EndurRun and Toronto Waterfront Marathons for the first time this year and will add them. The former, the EndurRun, I am expecting to rank very high... ...

Sorry to get sidetracked with my results. I think I initially created this thread to discuss this event. After doing the three-stage event, I wholeheartedly agree with participant Paul Mora, who states in his blog : "If you are a runner, and you want to challenge yourself in an environment whic...

Re: EndurRun

I lost 2nd and possibly 3rd today. Not much I could do - one of the guys behind me ran quicker than my PB time on his tired legs in the 10k time trial. 49:49 for me for 10k today. I couldn't get my legs moving quick today. That's OK - an extra minute today could cost five tomorrow. Hilly sunny road ...

Re: EndurRun

...I can't imagine what the ski hills were like! Absolutely punishing. 20 ascents of the hill was at least 17 too many. I was ridiculously slow at points. But a tough course for all, while I couldn't even muster an average pace of 7:00/K for the day, that was good enough for 2nd in the Men's Sport ...

I need to convince the wife to "let me" do the whole week next year. I have to admit that I've been thinking I should have done the week this year. I've thought this as competing in the 3-day has me watching the news and results closely. But the 3-day will work out well - if it ...

We're lucky we have natural resources in the ground in Canada. I don't think we're efficient enough to cast stones at any weak economies.

Are any of you out there wavers or do you not wave back, why not? I live in the country so it is somewhat rare to see someone. I always greet runners and cyclists with an enthusiastic "Good Morning" or "Good afternoon." 25% of the time they respond and I am happy. 75% of the tim...
