Here's a good article about it: http://www.competitivecyclist.com/learn/25-vs-23" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; There was one guy a few years ago that did a bunch of tests where he had people roll downhill on different tires. Re: Boston Marathon - KenB vs LisaP - It's on!

I've been following this thread and pondering who I'll put my money on. Do I go with the Adorable Vertically Challenged Lisa...or the Zesty Old Geezer Ken. :D I can't decide...I have a feeling this is going to be a race day decision for me   Especially since you are both a vertically ch...

You beat Andy and me to the punch here   I ordered two of your books (hard cover) and received them in a timely fashion. Reading this book brought back lots of memories of reading your blog...and training for Boston in the winter of 2007/2008. You didn't mention that there's a Maniac wear...

Re: Whatever happened to bajsmannen?

A woman did that at the Cabot Trail Relay Race two years ago I think. The difference was it was Leg 1 and she was on a competitve team. To stop for a few minutes might have cost her team and her 16 teammates first place over a weekend race so she decided to keep going. I, on the other hand, would ha...

Re: USADA bans middle-aged recreational runner

Its performance enhancing in that it lets an older woman perform like a younger woman. Well where do you draw the line between something that treats a biological issue? You could say an aspirin improves your performance if you have a headache on race day. Geez, my glasses could be called a performa...

Re: USADA bans middle-aged recreational runner

It was probably a race sanctions by the USADA and they probably take random samples as well as test the winners. It sure sounds like this was not a person trying to get a competitive advantage.

Re: Another Sunny Day Sundy

The trail club has a solstice run this morning. Everyone had a gulp of Fireball as the bottle went around one way and then a bottle of something else went around the other way and everyone had a gulp of that, then we finished off the Fireball bottle halfway into the run and then headed to the tavern...

Re: Russian Doping allegations

I would not be surprised if this applied to virtually every country, including Canada. When there is money, ego and/or jobs on the line, people will do a lot of shady things. Wasn't it somebody on here a while ago who said his/her niece got out of completive amateur sports because of the pressure on...

Well, at the finish she said she pb'ed by about 7-8 minutes but the reporter couldn't find any marathon that she ran in less than 4:00 hours so it sounds like she was lying about that too.

Well if the woman was a great marathon runner you would say there was a timing error at the half way mark but this woman is not a woman who runs 2:45 marathons, so...BUSTED!!!!!

Aren't we having a similar case in Canada where banks and other for profit organizations used to have interns that they didn't pay?

Mike's exaggerating. The price is actually $499.99.

Any way you cut it, it is a lot of coin. How many of the new features would the average person use regularly?
