Re: ??? Where's Monday ???

I couldn't find a Monday thread at around 8:00 am, but I figured it must be there somewhere and I didn't want to be the person who started a second one! 4-5 km on the schedule for me tonight. My legs are definitely feeling my three runs in a row from last week on crappy snow-covered sidewalks...

Spirit Flower, sorry if I missed this, but why did you give up peanut butter, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: ??? Where's Monday ???

I thought the same thing about Oliver on Friday night. We were out playing and he slipped on some ice and he was walking kinda funny for the rest of the day. I am terrified of hurting him since we don't really know how old he is and he sometimes behaves like a very grumpy old man.

Re: Mizuno Breath Thermo Socks

You could send them to me if you really don't plan to wear them Andy  That way I could see if I am really allergic to the Merino stuff. I don't think they're merino, are they? The Mizuno socks aren't, the SmartWool are. Sorry, typ-o. Turns out I shouldn't type while listening to music with he...

Tell me about it! Last time I checked, he is 3 inches taller than me. That and he out eats Dad now (not a clue where he is putting it all).

Don't you hate it when that happens?!

Holly, you are the exception since you only recently moved to Vancouver and I know you have enough cold weather running history. I received a RR gift card for Christmas and I have been wondering what to spend it on since I don't really shop there so I will check out their wind mits. I know I ...

Cold (Seriously cold) Weather Gloves

So, I have a couple of pairs of mid-weight gloves that are fine for up to -10° or so, but my new "hard-core winter runner" status requires something a bit more. I bought a cheap pair of hot paws from a running store, but my hands get too hot in them as they don't seam to breathe. I ...

Re: Goofy Saturday - Part 1

-21° here with the windchill and I got a 6.5km hilly LSD done! The sidewalks have still not been cleared here so I had the same poor traction as last night with a few sections that I had to walk. It was definitely not as windy as last weekend and the brilliant sunshine was nice! 8) This ends a very ...

Lisa, I have a plan to go to RR to spen my gift card........most likely on socks........so I can check the one on York Mills or the one in Pickering for you.

I use the Thorolo's and LOVE, LOVE LOVE them. My feet are never cold and so far this winter I have gone out in as low as -21°

IB, you were inside my head this afternoon! It started before lunch with a craving for Coke, which I have given up. I managed to resist that one, but then wanted something sweet in the afternoon as well. I had nothing with me and a vending machine in the lobby full of crap calling to me. I resisted ...

I have never been so glad to get to the end of a week! My legs are actually sore from last night's lousy traction, but I am bit behind this week so I will likely run again tonight. I might try checking out the treadmill in the condo gym, but only as an absolute last resort. Happy Friday everyone! H...

Those look similar to some raspberry bar that I used to love from M&M Meats. I'm glad I didn't see this at Christmas when I was doing all my baking.
