Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

Good to hear from you Andy! I'm doing great. Baby*Smiles weighed in at 9lbs yesterday! He's 6 weeks old today. :D I love his noises and his smell and the big eyes he gets when he first wakes up. No races planned. I'm thinking I will do the army run though - 5k not the 1/2 :) Al offered to be with Ba...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

Major victory in my books today! Baby*Smiles is 7lbs 10oz now! I worried he wasn't putting on weight and he is doing great! For those that don't know, he has Down syndrome and weight gain is a real concern for the development. I was wanting him to gain and he did  Other than that concern thin...

I'm training for a half and it's going well. Long run at 16-18 km and tempo runs up to 10 km at goal pace. 3 long runs left and one will be in San Francisco!

Awesome!

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

I never even thought of baby sunglasses! Makes sense now that I do.... We are doing well here. Baby*Smiles is a pleasure to have at home. He is usually easier to predict during the day as far as when he will be feeding or sleeping, but nights are hit and miss. Some nights he is up at 2 hour interval...

I dropped at about week 36 or 37, and baby*Smiles was born at 38 weeks exactly.

If it feels right scrummy, don't stop!

AWESOME!

I just have to remind Al that we should register soon... and make him decide if he's picking a 5K or a 1/2 course registration. I'm thinking a 1/2 might be too ambitious 5 months pp :shifty:

I'm pretty sure Al and I will be there. I'll likely participate in the 5K but trying to encourage him to think about the half again. We'll see! I haven't missed the chance to participate yet :D

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

He looks super healthy with cute peachy cheeks, is smiley, seems satisfied after his feedings (even before the food) and sleeps through the night, so he's certainly not acting deprived. He does look super healthy and smiley (and he's cute to boot)! I don't know what to say, except send out some enc...

We got some gently used CDs that I stripped (just to be sure) but they are in great condition. :D Jesse - you are doing great! I admire how active you are! I get winded going up the stairs at work (not at home though, they are steeper at work). Other than dog walking and my short walk to get transpo...

Thank you Carm!! I'm sure I will have questions as we go, but for the most part I'm just 'going with the flow' on a lot of things. We ended up getting a stroller & car seat this weekend. I don't know the brand off hand, it's still in the box  My parents bought it for us and of the ones we t...

Prats, get a shadow box and frame them? I'll love them if you decide to part with them, but I don't want you to part with them if you have those sentimental feelings associated with them.

Lisa that would be great! We might be driving through Toronto on February 28th - maybe we can plan a quick stop?

Thanks ladies!! We tried some more out in store and found a relatively inexpensive one that looks and felt right for us (I can't remember what it's called off the top of my head...). It helped to have all your suggestions in my head when we were there. I also liked that it was a relatively inexpensi...
