7K with the group but it was not at all pretty.

Finally got out for a nice 4.5K just before supper. Plus 7, so shorts are still in order! And then home-cooked roast beef with a nice Shiraz....

Nice, easy 5K walk around the hood.

No rain at 8.30am. I managed a slow 8.5K on my second come-back of 2017. Done in shorts. Soccer tonight...took it easy to let the hamstring warm up and picked things up for the last 20 minutes. No issues with the hammie at all.

Still resting the tender knee, so no running today. Did an extra-long strength and stretch routine with a bonus set of weight reps and more stretches.

Crappiest running conditions ever, but I couldn't very well wuss out on the first weekend of KK training, could I? So I put on my trail shoes and headed out on the snow-laden sidewalks for my planned 8 miles. It was mostly trudging, very little running, and the hardest workout I've had in ages. Dee...

Yeah but you get some nice trail runs and runs on the pathways when it warms up. Mind you, they may be fine right now with the weather we have had.

Wrong kind of new...Feeling sluggish and my knee was bugging me. Hopped on the TM but I had to get off and put on my knee strap for the first time in 3 months. Anyway, did 10K with 7K of running interspersed with 3K of walking. Today is another day.

5.5K walk on the snow-covered trails this morning. Was safer than trying to run on the roads with all the black ice. Soccer tonight.

4K uphill walk on the TM tonight. Glad to at least get that in today.

10K with the group tonight...first time since June!

Re-acquainted myself with speed work tonight, with the word "speed" being very relative. Hopped on the TM for 1K walk, 5K ladder of 500m segments, increasing and then decreasing the pace, finishing with 1K walk. Way too much sweat for what I was doing but that's OK.

Ran for over 30 minutes on my Dion running snowshoes....out the back door and onto the golf course. Snow was frozen solid and icy so I probably didn't even need the snowshoes! First time on them this Winter so kept it short and easy.
