Re: Doping and why everyone is doing it.

If I was a marginal pro athlete and felt I had to take PED's to survive, I likely would do it. If it meant the difference between survival, and possible success in my career and the end of my career then I would probably seriously consider it. Pro sports are a business, they entertainment for the bu...

Re: Maniac Cyclist hit by car - up date on page 2

Here is an article in today's online edition: .ORILLIA - Pain raced through Rick Ball's body as he lay sprawled on the roadway. One thought kept running through his mind: “I just kept shaking my head saying, 'No. Not this again,” the 46-year-old said Monday. “I lost my leg and now I'm worried about ...

I have done a few of these races, they are great. Smaller than the "big city" events of course, but the courses are excellent for racing and the price is right.

My first Centurion ride

I know this isn't a running event, but I thought I would check in anyway :P (as some of you know nagging injuried have curtailed my running). The Centurion events are much like marathons, in that there are multiple distances and a mix of serious and casual riders. Most events are 25, 50 & 100 mi...

He is an inspiration to many people, and I honor that, but his prosthetics make the event different.

Re: 100% of cycling deaths preventable...

I read the article and thought, yeah, so what? There was nothing new in it and very little substance. To say 100% of these deaths were preventable, is stating the obvious. Accidents are preventable, usually one party involved was breaking the law (i.e. speeding) or was not paying attention. If every...
