Re: Tardy Tuesday

Cycling commute about 1h total. I also did tae-boxe at lunchtime. Heavy rain and wind right now... A bit of thunder, questionning my sanity for riding back.

Re: Ultra SUNDAY

40 minutes on the rowing machine. Then went out for my first bike ride of the year. I was going along nice and easy until a big dog ran out in front of me, my wheel hit it and I went down hard. I now have varying sizes of bandaids and tape in various places to cover up the scrapes and blood..... Oh...

Straps on the JUNO bra...

I bought my first Juno bra last week and LOVE it, wow what a difference can it make when you have a big chest!!! However, I notice some pretty intense chaffing near the straps. Anybody get these? I'm thinking body glide next time but at the same time, if it does this for a 10K, how bad is it going t...

Re: Sunny Saturday

Sunny and 20oC here. I had a 10K race this morning at the Demi-marathon des Vignobles (free wine after the race!). Finished in 1:08:5x under 11 min/mile pace! And I had a speedy 2nd half (37 vs 31 mins for 5K). I felt really strong, it hasn't happened to me in awhile.

Re: Montreal Marathon

I ran the half 2 years ago, the first year it switched to being a Rock n'Roll series so I can tell you that the course changed a lot. Marathons and halfers now start together. And you will spent most of the half on Ile St-Helene running on the F1 race track too. I liked it because there was a lot of...

Re: Do your race times mean a lot to you?

5 years ago my answer would have been that time was very important and that I would do anything to improve. Now, I'm grateful for running, period. After all the injuries I've sustained and all the time off I had to take because of the dumb things I did to improve my running.... My times have slowed ...

Re: Amster-dam good Saturrday

17km done in the beautiful sunshine today! I definitely need to start bringing water on my runs, though. The last 5k or so were a bit bonkalicious. :) The rest of the day was spent chilling in my garden and on my deck with beers in hand. Happy weekend!! I hear you QC, I only ran 5 miles and I neede...

I had a boxing training yesterday with my tae-boxe instructor and former professional boxer... wow I have places that hurt that I've never thought would!

I still ran 30 mins today with DH & Popeye.

Fun time at the physio today. he decided to give the dry needling another try. Seemed to provoke a real reaction from my hip rotator muscles. And then he cranked it up too high at one point and it felt like mule kicked me in the @ss. Anyway, we'll do it all over again next Tuesday before flying dow...
