Re: I need Espresso glasses

If fe. can't find her's I have some you can have. I have 2 pairs that I don't wear at all anymore so happy to part with at least one of them (not quite ready to release the other :shifty: apparently I'm a mild hoarder).

Re: Buying Running Shoes via Online US Retailers

Just had to post this because for me it's a huge factor influencing why I order from an online US retailer. I ordered a pair of Saucony runners from Road Runner Sports on Wednesday morning before 7am. They arrived on Thursday (that's the next day) before 1pm. Today I called my local shoe store to or...

Re: PF and shock wave treatment??

Thankfully my PF wasn't bad enough and I have responded well to ART/FAKTR/GRASTON to make it not necessary. Have you tried ART? My chiro did a combination of ART / Graston / Faktr on my foot. Started on the 2nd of June and by the 20th I was allowed to do some light jogging 3 days a week max 30minute...

I hope they work for you Lorne. Looking for new shoes sucks :(

Re: NB 1080s

It's official today. The 1080s are going back. I've worn them 3 times now. The first I was distracted by other things so can't really comment on how they were on the run but during the warm up walk they bothered my feet quite a bit. Second run, didn't really notice during the warm up or run but afte...

Re: Is there such thing as a voluntary nippleectomy?

I'm interested if you can find someone to give them a trim. Just a thought, What if you took something to freeze the nip, like an ice cube then took a pair of side cutters and clipped them off. You'd probably need someone else to preform that part. Sure it would hurt for a bit, but it would heal qu...

Re: Garmin custom workouts

Figured it out, all on my own (stupid garmin "support") So the workout I had made was the following: Step 1: Warmup 10min Step 2 - repeat for 3km 1min (run) 1min (walk) Step 3: Cooldown 5min It would seem that step 2, repeating for 3km was unacceptable. I changed it to repeat 15times and t...

Re: Morning Motivator

Wow, what time do all you morning runners go to bed in the evening? My current schedule has me up and in the shower by 5:30am to get to work. I cannot even fathom having to go to bed any earlier than i already do. In bed by 10pm. Sometimes I think about reading for a bit but usually I'm passing out...

Re: Garmin custom workouts

Is it any sort of custom workout that is not supported or just the one you programmed? Are there other kinds of custom workouts? The example ones that were already in Training Center load to the device fine, but the ones I created myself don't. Did you try deleting some of the example workouts. I t...

Re: Garmin custom workouts

Heard from Garmin "support" this morning. Suggestion was a reset of the device as the tech could not replicate the error. He failed to explain how to do a reset, but I found a resource online. However, I still get the message that the workout is not supported by the device.

Re: Morning Motivator

This thread is inspiring me to try running mornings again. I ran Monday night and tonight and both were extremely hard to head out for. Much harder than it would have been if I was up at 4:30.

Re: Garmin custom workouts

I don't have a problem creating a workout and sending it to my Garmin 305. I'm using Garmin Training Center Version 3.6.3. Could it be you downloaded the incorrect version of Training Center. There are different versions for the different models as well as different operating systems. I had 3.6.3 b...

Re: Garmin custom workouts

I had updated the software for both the garmin and training centre over the weekend, but redid it just in case. Same with Communicator. I actually didn't have it installed before Sunday, but I updated it in explorer this time around. Neither updates worked. I sent and email to garmin support on Sund...

Re: Morning Motivator

I've mostly given up my early morning runs because of... um... GI issues :shifty: But I still get up (like today) at 4:30 to swim a couple days a week. I definitely prefer running or working out first thing and getting it over with. For me the biggest motivation is realizing that if I don't do it be...

Garmin custom workouts

I'm trying to upload a custom workout from Training Centre to my Garmin 305 but I keep getting a message that it's not supported by the device. I've updated Training Centre and the Garmin. Has anyone had the same issue and any ideas on how to fix it?

Re: NB 1080s

Interesting. I like the 1080s much better than the 1064s. I find the upper fits snugger/is more supple and there is more forefoot cushioning. But these things don't work for everyone. When I had put them on for the first time I noticed that the left foot especially was narrower feeling. I have a wi...

Re: NB 1080s

I wore the Saucony Progrid Triumphs before the NB. Considering going back to them now that I know I can get them in a wide from Road Runner. But it's my fervent wish that I could get used to the 1080s so I don't have to go to the hassle of trying new shoes. This is not what I need coming back from i...

Do it. You know how shy I am. If I can force myself to a new pool, by myself, 3 times in the last week, you can do a trail race. Do it Do it Do it Do it Do it And you get pancakes with bacon (for those so inclined) after. Do you really need a better reason? I find trail running harder (um, no duh :d...
