This... I could have sworn you signed up carm, no??

In case anyone needs it, the confirmed route was posted http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5498966

I also found out Perth, Scotland missed the Guiness WR by "16 runners" 8)

Re: Vancouver.... old treadmills?

Treadmills come up on Freecycle a lot in this area... so I'd look into said angle. Alternatively, Kijiji.ca has a section dedicated to "Free" and "Trade/Swap". Both are worth checking out, in addition to the regular ads, since you never know what you might find!

Re: Allergy meds and running?

Thanks eme! Went to SDM just after posting the message yesterday, and got the same :naughty: warning from the pharmacist. Took Benadryl, and what a difference already. First time in days I didn't have to pry my eyes open in the morning, and the congestion/lack of breath is improved. Woohoo!

Re: 2012 Official ORW Weather Obsession Thread

I'm all for accepting the 30 degree weather forecasted this weekend, as long a ORW sees some sunny patches, with mainly overcast skies and light drizzle at times. Temps in the 14-18 range would be manageable, heck, even cooler on Saturday night would be a bonus 8)

Re: Ottawa Race Weekend 2012

I just ran the half marathon route. I parked at Remic Rapids and started at the 10.5km mark of the route and ran the second half before heading over to Elgin Street to run the first half of the route to complete my loop. It is a very good course, a quick one. Very few hills, the most notable are: O...

Re: DisneyWorld Goofy - 2013

Short of the comments on the various Disney FB groups, just how bad would the banking be on the Race Track? Or, did Disney confirm runners will only be on the apron? I have to confess I don't know much about race tracks - but from the negative comments about this addition to the course, I get the im...

QuickChick - THANK YOU for this thread!! I've never dealt with seasonal allergies until this spring, and I'm a mess. I started sneezing/wheezing at the trail race earlier in the month, thought it was a fluke given the forest floor. Fast forward to last weekend, and I'm a mess. My eyes have not stopp...

Define a little better then a walk ... It will depend on whether or not I can do it pain free. If I can walk it pain free I may do that but I am signed up for NY full as my first ever full. This would be my fifth anniversary running ORW and I'd really like to do it but between risking injury by run...
