Re: Cool or Not Cool?

Ah...again, imagine if every finisher grabbed 1,2,3 extra medals after each race to present to their spouse/parents/kids, who all came out to support their silly" little hobby". I don't where you run or how many road / trail races you've done in country and outside, but your experience dif...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

You know what they say about assumptions...you should probably quit before you continue to make an *** of yourself  You are derailing the thread. You recall wrong. I don't run to BQ, there are other interesting/adventurous/challenging races out there . I've done Boston twice in the past, and d...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

You recall wrong. I don't run to BQ, there are other interesting/adventurous/challenging races out there . I've done Boston twice in the past, and don't feel the need to keep going back there. I'm NOT American, don't live there or have family there. Like I said, I always finish strong regardless and...

I know right....way cheaper than running the race, booking flights and hotel and the body pain from the race  Oh, and I believe there might be free shipping too No you didn't steal..but you could have done the right thing i.e. return the item. Imagine if everybody did that eh..just saying. As f...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

+100 They can expect the Juggernaut train spring run right into they daisy chain. My finishes are always a sprint from 100m out, and I finish strong. The daisy chain ladies... I mean, as long as they only joined hands in the last 4 or 5 strides before the finish line, who are they bothering? It's pr...

Re: London Marathon Sunday 23rd April 4:30am kick off

Krista is indeed an inspiration to a lot of young girls and women who choose not to make excuses or rely on equality only when it suits an agenda. Her perseverance and attitude towards running is second to none. 1. Race time that rival a lot of men - check, 2. Running mom - check, 3. class and not c...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

I guess moving forward, runners should start grabbing more than 1 medal for their spouses and kids at home, and whilst they are at it....spread themselves across the home stretch in order to grab attention they crave so badly.

Did I mention anywhere in my most or allude to it that I wrote it? If NOT, then to try to read into my post and make silly assumptions. Thanks for coming out though Whoa Nelly! Whoa Nelly! Yes Prof..didn't realize this is an academic site, and that I was submitting a thesis/dissertation. I would be sure to that next time, and yes I know Wikipedia is NOT a credible source  You really should cite your sources and provide a link when you cut and paste from another site.

No you didn't steal..but you could have done the right thing i.e. return the item. Imagine if everybody did that eh..just saying. As far as the thief part, if you've overstayed a downtown parking meter by 20 minutes, you've stolen way, way more than this guy did. The other day I got home from the gr...

Re: London Marathon Sunday 23rd April 4:30am kick off

.....The reason why there are two different women’s world records is due to debate about whether or not women’s elite races that start with men provide an unfair advantage. The lone elite Canadian in London, Krista DuChene, had a tough race. After a quick opening 10K, she began to slow, getting drop...

Re: London Marathon Sunday 23rd April 4:30am kick off

Wow...what a race today by the elite field. 50,000 runners took part in the 37th London Marathon. A record 253,930 people entered the public ballot last May, as demand for places in this year’s event far outstripped availability. No record for the men, but in the women's race Keitany has set two wor...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

True..I simply was asking for a definition of what constitutes 'thieving'. I NEVER claimed to be authority of any kind anywhere in my posts! There is a lot more going on in my life than a need for some namby-pamby authority. Conveniently, you didn't provide your definition of "taking something ...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

Conveniently, you didn't provide your definition of "taking something that doesn't belong to you". Nobody is getting worked up, it's simply a discussion of ethical values. You and a couple of others, seem to be defending the guy's actions.Ironically, you are holding a sign that reads 'you ...

Re: Cool or Not Cool?

Quite the analogy eh....the "star of your team" is one entity and doesn't always represent the club they play for. The kid in question might like the star for their service to country e.g. Crosby or Subban playing for Canada vice their teams. Again, why didn't Mr charity runner give his ea...

Ahahahaha.....His wife should make him hand it back to them. Personally, it would carry more weight if he handed over his own medal (he only got in as a charity even runner) to his wife. For those that don't see the issue with both cases, I guess it's easy to dismiss something when it's not affectin...
