Re: Ironman Muskoka - Cancelled
So I didn 't participate at Muskoka this year in the full, have done the half twice previous. Personally, Swim is a swim, bike is a challenge but doable but that run course is just rotten. YOu end up doing 26k on HWY 60, regardless of hills that is the worst. Sure deerhurst is expensive but agreed, ...

Re: Women's Running Tees
For 'family focused' races that provide a t- shirt, I usually choose a youth large. Fits my typical average sized body well. As for running shirts- couple of races shirts were from Zorrel.

Garmin 910 Question
I have a 910 garmin and am wanting to use it with a bike trainer this winter, however when I look at accessories on the garmin website it appears that the speed/ cadence sensors only go with the edge/vector series. What do I need to do this... apart form a power meter.

Thanks for the kind words. Not so much dedication just a reason not to clean my house.

Beach to Battleship
I did another iron distance this year and wrote about it, cause if I didn't share on some sort of online platform it didn't actually happen. I am also a neglected middle child. http://postdink.blogspot.ca/2015/11/beach-two-battleship-beach2battleship.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Sad story
I wear my road ID 24/7. I used to try to remember to bring ID while cycling but would forget more often than remember.
I work in a small hospital ER and we would not be wasting time fussing with a phone looking for ID.

Just spent an hour reading the thread at slowtwitch. There have been a couple of results I have seen in the past from strangers that makes you wonder... and now I think maybe there ws something to my wondering.

Just added myself. Only use strava on the bike with my phone. My garmin is pretty basic, and I am too lazy to upload data.

Re: Muskoka 70.3
There is generally a rack for the relay and those participants can come and go in and out of transition to allow for cheering or eating breakfast brunch at deerhurst while the rider is riding.

Re: Too many events ?
My deal is there is too many non for profits looking to do races for charity and not enough runners to go around. Thus all their careful planning and investments into the events end up hardly worth it. Note I am from a rural area.

I happen to look at the wear before ATB and after. Amazing after one 30k the breakdown. At this rate, they will be only good for a few months.

Re: Beginners questions
It is wonderful that you have decided to become more active. I routinely say to people, do what you love. Thus take some time to make sure you love running but if you do not then move on and find something else to love. The end goal is the same... be active and move forward. That being said, my advi...

Re: Bike Pedal/cleat question (Look Keo)
That's funny about the delta pedals. I bought a set used when I started riding, bought set used when I upgraded, now it is kinda like a game. When ever I go to a bike shop I ask for old detla clips just to stock pile.

Neat reading your blog post. Congrats on another successful finish.
Interesting about it being your last triathlon. There is so much sport as you mentioned and it is hard to do it all.
That being said, have any race wheels you need to sell? Cheap...

Re: Ironman messes with everything
I am going to do Mt tremblant next year and am overjoyed about not having to drive 10hours to sign up. Makes the distance more accessible. I did consider Musokoka which is only a three hour drive but the spectacle is not the same .

Always love hearing from yours, race director perspective. If it was not for a very frustrating ankle I would have loved to participate. My 2cents- wish is a little steep but I will give it for free is, change the date. I do not want to run a fall marathon, I want fall trail races, which with the ch...

Sounds fun. Get the hard part out of the way first. Long uphill to begin though.
