Weather was not a big factor this year, just a bit of rain to start the race and some snow on the traverses, a...

Thanks all for sharing. Perhaps everyone contemplating such an act will realize how pointless it was and this will never happen again.

Ontario Trail and Ultra Series Spring Warm-up!
Hey! The Spring Warm-up is next weekend! Someone should have reminded me!
(no worries - it is all ready)
Forecast: Sunny and rain (???) high of 7 and a distinct chance the snow will be gone from the Bruce Trail!

Ah Fernie... When I skied there first about 25 years ago, there was a quaint small village and a mountain with no one on it! I distinctly recall getting to the bottom of the hill, standing in line for the chair, nobody else in the line. A couple came up behind me, so I said " you can go ahead o...

Re: snow storm runs
Well... It was supposed to be a snowshoe. I went up to the property near Singhampton to get ready for maple syrup, but forgot my snow shoes! The snow was thigh deep, so lifting my feet high enough to clear the snow was out of the question. Running in big boots was also not an option, so I pushed my ...

Interesting note. Of the 12 people signed up, 6 are from Richmond Hill. Is there a large masochist society in Richmond Hill?
