Re: April 2012 Training Goals

I would like to build upon my March numbers. However Apil is not the month to try too much, (kind of busy at work  )so 15 runs and consistent kms would be fine.

Great report IB, it is fascinating to read what goes on in the mind of a racer. But you knew that, and I know you know that, and you know that I know......... :-T
I give you credit for putting yourself out there, and being very gracious in defeat.
Congrats.

Re: Could you run a marathon without training?

Love this Holly! I participated in the Miles for Millions in the mid 70's. Walked 50km...I didn't own running shoes so I wore comfortable loafers. I wasn't fit...I finished....I do remember the last hour being painful...got terrible blisters. So yes I think you could "run" a marathon with...

Re: Marathon runners are arrogant, narcissistic, babies

Sorry if I offended you. It was not meant to in the way you took it.

No, I wasn't offended at all, I was just making a point. You have your reasons for posting your blog, which is fine. Posting controversial blogs leaves one open to criticisms of many kinds.
It's nothing personal.

Re: Marathon runners are arrogant, narcissistic, babies

You missed the point, Doug. He was using the language (turning it around on marathon runners), but then says he doesn't mean it-- that he just wanted to see the reaction. Unfortunately many people who read only the first few paragraphs probably came to the same conclusion. You have to read the whol...

Re: Marathon runners are arrogant, narcissistic, babies

Since you asked; I read half of it then had enough. What was your point other than to criticize marathoners and make fun of them? Anyone can do that. Big deal. I have never run a marathon nor will I likely ever do so, so you weren't attacking me. But, even if you were so what? I'm a middle aged guy ...
