Re: Garmin’s new FR620 & FR220 GPS running watches

I just cancelled my FR220 pre-order and got a 310XT from Costco, at $179 until the 17th. http://www.costco.ca/Garmin%C2%AE-Forerunner-310XT-with-Heart-Rate-Monitor.product.100032392.html? With HRM! Free shipping! Main reason, more features (and less money). Twice the battery life, 4 data fields per ...

Re: Garmin’s new FR620 & FR220 GPS running watches

I have pre-ordered a FR220. Gps city says they will be out in 2 days (October 10), most places say later. My aging 205's battery is fading fast. I often now see battery low warnings, and on Saturday it died completely at the one hour mark. It is 4 1/2 years old and well used; I use it every run and ...

Between getting older and being set back by a very long injury hiatus, I don't think I'd ever be able to race for personal bests anymore so I don't see myself entering any races. (Exception for the Utica Boilermaker, because it's the Utica Boilermaker.) I'm running 5 or 6 days per week now just bec...

Re: Runners and racers

I am definitely racing less these days, just once this year. It just seems sort of pointless when you're not in top form. It takes some adjustment to get such lousy results and still enjoy it. If only I would run more than 20 K a week I could be a contenda!
