Ladechat....hold off on the 15k...that will do ya wonders...! TheBman Well, considering the 15K is on race day, I don't have much of a choice! I'm going to stay off it until then. As Jo-Jo said, the hay is in the barn. Too bad I suffer from hay fever! Yes, I'd love to meet up with you guys (...

For the record (and to dispell any confusion), the short form of my username (ladechat) is La. So you can call me that (as my family does), but I also answer to Les and Lesley. Oh, and BG, which stands for Bond Girl, but only Bond himself is allowed to call me that (but he hasn't shown up here yet).

Ack! I've done something to my left hip flexor! I ran last night and it was feeling OK until about 30 minutes in when it started to flare up (I've had some tenderness there for a few weeks). I ran another 6-7 minutes and then had to walk the last bit. I iced it and took ASA last night but when I awo...

I parked my beater in front of Endurosport on Sunday when I went out for my long run -- when I got back, there was a sandwich board out front advertising a bike maintenance clinic. The irony was SO not lost on me. If you're looking for a good bike maintenance clinic in the area I would highl...

Swimming
Since this is a topic that comes up quite frequently, I thought I'd start this thread. Here are some good resources on swimming: http://www.totalimmersion.net (some articles, some video, mostly links to buy their books/videos, but from what I hear well worth the purchase) http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport...

Swim coaching can be very expensive (and somewhat hit or miss). If you're into videos, check out www.totalimmersion.net. There are also some good articles on there.

I live just down the street from you (same road, but between Woodbine/Dundas). I was at a party of yours a couple of years ago. I'd love to go for a run, but I'm afraid I'm quite a bit slower than you and Lisa. Enduro is doing OK - if you've ever been there on a Wednesday for open water swim when th...

I was considering an open-water swim tonight with the crew from Endurosport (jeez, I love to be able to mention another store openly), but the E. coli levels are getting a little high from the rain we've had the last couple of days. I opted for a run instead - also because this was such a lovely coo...
