Re: Gatineau
Set a up FB account as your dog, that is what I did. They can mine data about my Puppy Strider all they want. So this weekend coach has me running an easy 30min Saturday before Sunday Spring Fling, so not trails :( Next weekend you and I will do Frontenac. I would plan on that being a solid 4hrs Wee...

Re: Its Thursday, I can almost see the weekend!
Like Erin, yet again, today was supposed to be a 3x15min tempo workout, but my Achilles has been barking at me, and I am feeling a little (well a lot actually) tired, so turned it into a longish, steadyish effort, in other words, just go and and run and don't look at time or pace. Ended up with 17.1...

Out and back on Watts Creek path for you Kanata Peeps, it is 99.9% clear of snow. Awesome, thanks. I've been wondering about that. Can't wait to start running/biking to work again occasionally (I'm pretending that the 10-20cm of snow forecast for Friday isn't going to happen). There is a downed tre...

Re: Good Saturday Morning!
Met Spaff at the North End of Frontenac park and had a great 3:35 run. Nothing flat, but no huge climbs, just solid up/down running. Just 90min drive from home, very reachable for weekend long runs. Will be back there next Sunday for 4hrs, just hope I don't get (too) lost. Thanks coach.

Yup
15min easy - 4x10min @ 10km pace with 1min recoveries - 15min easy. 15.4km total. Puppy nailed it
ETA:
Lunchtime 44min - 8.65km recovery run. Nasty, nasty wind made it more of a workout than a recovery.

Re: Altra Shoes? Or others with wide toe box?
Do you know what the heel-toe drop is on these? A wide width isn't a bad idea. Do you know how she finds the heels? My heel is quite narrow, so that complicates things. From what I can see the drop is 8mm. Not sure about the heel width, but I know that since she took the Chi running clinic she has ...

Re: Altra Shoes? Or others with wide toe box?
MrsStrider is the poster child for this problem I am sure. Her latest solution is the NB890v2 in a D Width. No matter what ANY manufacture tells you the standard "B" width on ladies shoe are not nearly wide enough. Combine that with the latest findings of your toes NEED to splay / spread a...

First run since Saturday (okay only 2 days off, but felt like weeks). Stomach is still 'iffy but figured I'd chance it. Advantage to heading out stupid early (5am) is that the plows and sidewalk cleaners/salters haven't been out so it was it was nice 5'ish cm of fresh snow to run on. A little resist...

Re: Last Thursday of Winter
Nasty morning out – Very cold and Very Windy with blowing snow (-21 windchill), not that I am not used to that, just was enjoying the warmer, dryer conditions. Good thing was that it kept it to an easy sheltered route. Not much to report, just an hour recovery run, 11.5km. Another 30-35 mins on the ...
