Way to go Trixiee!

I hope the weather holds out for you to get those last km's in!

Joe Dwarf wrote:Holy crap, that would be averaging 13.7 km/day. I don't think I'm averaging that per week these days. Well done!

I've been out running a few times, but not as much as I would like, it just doesn't seem to fit into our busy days.

Good luck QC!

I LOVED my Mommy Necklaces!! I wore them even when I wasn't nursing! :)

Re: Nutrition and depression

Ha. No, I didn't buy in enough - for a few reasons - I don't actually think I need to make drastic changes to my diet....and, I felt like I needed to overcompensate - so, I ate way too much cheese and nuts to make up for not having my comfort foods. :P I also don't eat enough fruits and veggies (and...

Re: Nutrition and depression

IB used to have some pretty extreme mood swings (I wouldn't have said depression), but, he did get to some pretty low points. It took me awhile to realize, but, after he started eating Paleo, those really low points have all but disappeared. He used to have quite a bit of added sugar in his diet, so...

Re: Hot running (newish) Momma's thread...

Just dropped by to say I'm a Great Aunt three times now. My niece had baby number 3 yesterday. She has two boys (age 4 and 2.5) and was absolutely sure no. 3 was a boy. She had a girl and this time decided she didn't want to know the gender before. When Baby Girl (no name yet) was born she asked he...

Re: Off to the races Sunday

First time running a half marathon, I thought I had an outside chance at 1:50 if everything went right.... It did: 1:48:53! Very happy, if a little sore. The siren song of the marathon is calling... I really really really want to, just don't know if I can realistically commit to the amount ...

Re: running bra too big??

Yeah it's very personal- my bras with clasps don't feel as tight as my racerback ones. I normally don't mind them feeling tight- I'd rather them feel tight than feel the clasp! I am now a C... and who knows what I'll be when I'm nursing, hehehe (D????? Could it be?????) but I was a B before and hop...

Re: running bra too big??

Seems I have it all wrong!!! I am assuming that none of you wear just plain bra tops without clasps in the back. That would be my problem. I think a visit to a website is in order, then I will to in person. Any opinions on Moving Comfort bras? I've got 3 Fiona(??) Moving Comfort. I like them. I've ...

Re: Pool triathlon- what to wear?

oh, totally pull the bathing suit off. no need to bike and run with it on! I had actually misread your post above and thought you said to wear the tri shorts over the suit, which is what I did (because I had to) in May. Although I didn't wear shorts over the suit in the water. I'm actually leaning ...

Re: Pool triathlon- what to wear?

You could always wear your bike shorts and sports bra WITH a bathing suit overtop - might look silly, but, it would do the trick. No one cares if you aren't in "bikini" shape though. (except for you, I guess). One word of caution - I find that sports bras drag in the water though - the fro...

My favourite comment on the other forum that I'm on about this was that if she was training for a marathon (sic), she must be SUPER skinny so how did she not know!?

I don't know, I think it could be pretty useful for poking people who won't get out of your way or poking runners who need a bit of incentive to speed up :shifty:

It seems to me that the run/ walk would be difficult to keep an even pace for. I did that for the 2nd time I paced the PEC 1/2 and I was a minute slow. I find it a lot easier to lock into a pace and just keep plodding on. Mas Runner- about holding the sign high- I wanted to make sure it was visible...

Hey Mark, do you ever do an actual "pace" look - like like at the split times as well? The reason I ask is that I'll never forget hearing about a bunny that arrived at the finish line a good 3 minutes ahead and then ran back to help people in before their time....and then finished right a...
