Re: Driving Friday

5 min walking - 30min running (continuous) - 5min walking. Overall AVG pace was 6 min/km. No issues. I'm thinking along the same lines as Sylvie and Nick. Now is the time to run with you, otherwise I'm toast  Seriously, I'm THRILLED to hear you are on the mend. Keep taking it easy, and...

I don't run in the big city enough to comment, but perhaps this might help: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/69156802
From what I can tell, the 2013 proposed map appears to follow the same course.

What a great day! Started out with a 6.69K run, then went to physio... where I got my marching orders. I am supposed to embrace "slow, steady and in-tune with the body" during my runs. Guess we'll see how the implementation goes over the coming months 8)

Re: Mtl Oasis RnR Registration Opens

Wow, I just read the FB wall. Lots of positive comments on the full/half front, but I had no idea the 10K turned into a nightmare. Now I understand the negative comments from passengers on the Metro. Did RnR post the wrong start time in the guides, or did someone just pull the starting gun too early?

Re: Mtl Oasis RnR Registration Opens

I noticed something went "off" about 9K. My watch is setup to vibrate for each km, and past 9, it never alerted in tamdem with the signage. Granted I always run the far outside of a course, so this does cause for minor data errors, but never by this much. All told, my Garmin thinks the hal...

Re: Mtl Oasis RnR Registration Opens

Has anyone seen their finish time from the race yesterday? Went to write a blog entry, wanted my final stats, and this popped up: "Marathon Oasis de Montreal September 23, 2012 No results at the moment. Results will be posted as they become available." I've tried via SS directly, and then ...

Oh and my other pet peeved: the ribbon of my medal broke and my medal fell down. I didn't notice until the wind blew my ribbon in my face. Re: Longer Battery Life

Great price for the 310xt and I loved mine (MrsStrider now owns it), but the battery doesn't go much beyond the 12hr. I upgraded to the 910xt and am loving it. It's only downfall is the current pace is still a little wonky, but I never care too much for that as I usually am more focused on Time / D...

We actually keep a stash of Pedia-pops in the freezer for the kids when they are sick and on hot summer days when they are very active. +1 When Duncan was little and came down with a virus, the Doctor strongly recommended keeping Pedia-Pops in the freezer ALL the time. They've certainly come in han...

Anyone ever eaten at Paradiso 37 in Downtown Disney? Or Yachtsman Staekhouse at the Yachtsman Resort? Paradiso 37 is a lively spot - ideal if you're into frozen drinks (lots of different tequila options available). You can see a copy of the menu from Summer 2012 here http://allears.net/menu/men_par...
