I am embarrased to say, I ate way too much chocolate last night, but did 2 hours of weights and pilates, no running this morning, could not drag my chocolate filled body out of bed but now I pay the price and launch into a 10mile run (8 at tempo) after work. Its much easier to get up on weekends to ...

Its the tempo run that is the key to faster marathon times. Tonight its 10 miles with 8 mile race pace and I find this to be one of the harder workouts (well except for mile repeats on a track) but then I do look forward to the slower long run on the weekend. I am curious what people think of the 6 ...

Way to go Bebette..I was wondering how you did..I feel for you with the cramping..I had an awful cramp in my calf 15 mins after the end of my Charlotte, NC marathon..the whole thing just balled up and I screamed in pain. The only good thing was a nice looking runner helped me out! But to have that h...

I am actually in my element when I am running far. I did worry about cramps in the legs which often happen with the hills..I studied the elevation m...

Boston Bound
Thanks for all the info on Boston, very helpful. It will be my first time there and my 4th marathon in less than a year and I am doing it as a "fun run". I know I won't come close to my 3:36 best time but as a soon to be 41 yr old woman I think I have an under 3:30 in me somewhere soon!
