Re: Slept-in Sunday
I did a 10 km run on some local trails I hadn't explored before. I also found a spooky tunnel under the expressway.

Re: Time for Tuesday!
I started week 16 of training with an 8 km easy run today. My left calf started getting sore about 6.5 km in; I think it's still feeling Sunday's long run.

Re: What is a marathon pace run supposed to feel like?
Based on the other results you list, only your 5K time says 3:30 is realistic, IMO. Your other times point at 3:45-4:00 being more likely. If I were you, I'd go out at 5:20 and speed up after 32 if you can. Don't make any decisions till after that point- 21.1 is DEFINITELY not the halfway point of ...

32K long run in 2:55. This was my last really long run before Toronto Waterfront. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and I wish I hadn't worn long sleeves. My hip was a bit sore throughout, but I made it, and now it's an afternoon of relaxing and watching football.

Re: What is a marathon pace run supposed to feel like?
This is a question I've been thinking about (a lot) lately. I'm running in Toronto on the 16th, and my long run pace averages around 5:30/km, while my "race pace" is about 5:00/km. My personal best time is just over four hours. My taper begins after today's long run, but I just don't know ...

Ran 11km this morning in 60 minutes. I hope construction season is over soon; I'm getting tired of zigzagging across roads to get around sidewalk repairs.

Ran my first 10k race this morning. Time was 48:49, which was better than I was expecting, even better than I hoped for. I even got a bronze medal in my age category (... actually finished 6th, but the top three overall were in the male 30-34 group )

Nice cool run this morning. My back was killing me this morning after lugging a wood stove up from my basement yesterday. Still ran 11.7 km in 60 minutes ... and felt great doing it!

Holy humidity! I ran 11 km this morning, but it was not an easy run. Fortunately, I found the one hour window between pouring rain in which to run. Not that I would have minded a little bit of rain to cool things down.

Better late than never!
I ran 11 km this morning. It was hotter than I was expecting, especially since I left way late (almost 7:30!).

11 km this morning. I was behind Tuesday's pace on the first half, but finished about 400 m ahead in the end. The cool weather sure was nice.

Nice 10 km run on a cool(ish) morning. My calves were still a bit sore from Sunday's run, but they didn't get any worse today.

Wow, that's a good deal. Borden is a bit far for me, and I'm still leaning towards Goodlife, but it's very interesting.

Taking a second rest day today, preparing to run 20 km for the first time tomorrow.
I've been working towards this goal for about two months now, so I'm hoping for good conditions in the morning!

Hi! I found this forum yesterday, and it seemed like a good place to be! I live in Waterloo, Ontario, and I started running in March this year. I ran my first 5K race in June, and I'm working on getting into some longer distance running. I run three times a week, and I ran 18 km for the first time y...
