I think the Weight Watchers app is only available in the States. They're working on one for Canada.

Re: Wanna Go Fast? Get Bigger? Go Vegan
"I'm a level 5 vegan, I don't eat anything that casts a shadow." I'm actually a pescetarian, but typically describe myself as a vegetarian that eats fish and seafood, since a lot of people do not know what the word pescetarian means. If I'm at a restaurant and am asking for a modification ...

Re: Haliburton Tracking! :)
Thought I'd check in here. I finished my 50 miles in just under 19 hours. I was hoping for closer to 16. My knee started hurting after about 10K, so I ended up walking A LOT. I also rolled my ankle a number of times. And I basically slowed down to a crawl as soon as it got dark. It was a completely ...

I mentioned your post to my husband who is prone to blisters and he asked me to post this reply since he doesn't have an account: "I would recommend breaking the blister and exposing the skin within (cut the blistered skin away) and let the fresh skin time to dry. If your feet sweat wrap a pape...

Also camping. I'll be the girl hanging out at the fire with a snuggie and a beer after I finish my 50 miler
As an aside, driving to and from Owen Sound on the weekend, every time I read a sign for West Grey, I thought of your name West Grey Runner.

Re: 50k hydration options, anyone?
I find that my pack is like my security blanket in races, kind of like how my fuel belt was for shorter distances when I was newer to running. I like knowing that I can be self-sufficient for a period of time if things go bad and I end up being really slow. This might be something I "grow"...

I might be convinced, depending on the amount of Creemore Springs beer that's available at the finish

Creemore 100 miler?!?
Just hopped onto the OUS and came across a link to this new race. I am intrigued:
http://www.ouser.org/races/CH_100M.pdf
I would imagine you'd have to be pretty hardcore to run this race, as it seems you'd need to be very self-sufficient..

Re: Homemade Freezer Vegetarian dinners?
I know it's not homemade but we do Supperworks every once in a while. They do offer a lot of vegetarian substitutions for their meat dishes. It's just the two of us and so we pay to split the meals, so if we choose 6 meals we end up with 12 which lasts us a while. It seems like a lot of up front cos...

Re: ITT Mid_packer PB ?
Sounds like an awesome race. I'm bummed I couldn't run it. Hopefully the new race will be just as good (if it is indeed the last year for this one). Based on your description of the course and your race, I don't think you'll have any problems finishing the 50K toad. I ran 25K at the toad training ru...

Re: Haliburtons Anonymous (HA)
Got the verdict from my chiro this morning. He said it's cutting it close, but basically if I lay off the running (no more than 5K 2-3 x week - I'm sticking with 5K 1 x week and lots of cross training), I'm allowed to run Hali with the understanding that I drop if I have any problems with my shin. I...

Re: 10k Run Route in downtown Kitchener wanted
Unfortunately there's not a lot of community trails etc. in that area. Your best bet would probably just be to follow main roads. There is a bit of construction going on on King St. so I'd watch for that. I'd suggest maybe some running in Victoria Park, but only during daylight. Even though I live i...

gymnast I also set my goal weight higher, with the idea that I will try and lose a bit more, and if I can maintain it comfortably, I will. If it's too hard, then as long as I'm never above goal I will be happy. fingerboy all inclusives are brutal. I swear I gained 10 lbs in two weeks on my honeymoon...

I'm trying not to have a complete meltdown. I went to see my chiro yesterday about my ankle pain (rolled it last week) and ended up discovering I might have a stress fracture on my shin! I went for an x-ray today, and may have to have a bone scan. So ITT is out this saturday, and I've already confir...

Kinga my husband was telling me about seeing a black creature. He thought it was a weasel (after googling various animals). I thought he was hallucinating. Where there other confirmed sightings? Or was he just babbling to you at the aid station?
