Squash seems to be a theme tonight...

We had butternut squash and cilantro soup, with some toasted tomato sandwiches.

Re: 33-off.com - A Canadian Online Supplier

Had a really good experience with them last fall - basically, everything as promised, shipped same day I ordered and was here the next morning. They use Canada Post Expedited for shipping. They also included a return Canada Post Expedited label if anything had to go back. Not sure how it worked - si...

Thanks Sonia. You made it into my blog post about the race today. I kept looking for you (okay, your RM buff), but could not find you. :(

Congrats on your nice run - you half/full runners had work cut out with the windchill.

Read a friend's race report today - and much like your review, it sounds like an amazing race. Nothing like some Southern hospitality, great food, and a scenic race route!! Congrats

Thanks for the info abirdd. First off congrats on the PB, tough race to do it in, that would suggest that come spring/summer you will crush that time!! I just fired off an e-mail to sportstats explaining the situation. I even linked to some zoomphoto photos of me crossing the line next to someone w...

Winterman 10K for me - personal best "race" time of 55:31 for a 3rd place in my age category. First time I've placed since my first 5K last year, so I was very happy to learn I'm improving, albeit slowly  mas_runner - I overheard there were some "issues" with the half and ma...

order a singlet in the size that you think is right, and then if we have to change it later we can. I'm STILL waiting for the supplier to get me that info. They said they would get it ASAP but that was days ago. (hopefully this is not indicative of how well they'll do with our gear...) Place...

I'm 95% sure you can have one of our buffs. Unfortunately, they just don't work well for me......I'll talk to IB in the morning, but, in the meantime -assume you can have one! :) I'd even be willing to drop it off one day - Dexter and I like having outings! :) I'm thinking the buff won't work for r...

Any word on the sizing for the women's singlets - or did I skip over the update?

In the meantime, is there any way to "hold" a buff? Or, should I buy the buff now - and then add a singlet once sizing is sorted? So many questions, sorry!!

Re: Belly bounces when running

Try one on in the dressing room, then jump up and down a little, jog in place and see how the jiggle control factor is. That's how I test out running bras. Ditto! The compression shirt should work nicely - just make sure when you do the change room test to move around (twist, bend over, etc). You w...

Going to make up for it by doing some Plyo X right now, and maybe get some time on the Elliptical afterwards.

Supposed to be a lot of fun. Many of the foster families for Quebec rescue groups recommend the series to new families with active breeds - since it's a very social group and the dogs enjoy the "work". :D

Re: Q: WHY DID THE RUNNER CROSS THE ROAD ?

I live in a rural area - NO sidewalks and virtually NO street lights. While the houses out here were built with mandatory curb side lights, coupled with a dusk/dawn rule, no one seem to adhere to the bylaw. Let's be honest, my town is too small to go around enforcing the rule... In any case, I ALWAY...

I use a couple of Brendan Brazier's recipes from the Thrive book - none of which last long in my house. The favorite, by far, is the Chocolate Blueberry Energy Bar. Ingredients: 1 cup fresh or soaked dried dates 1/4 cup almonds 1/4 cup blueberries 1/4 cup roasted carob powder (or cacao to make 100% ...
