No chance you'd want to come out to Kettle Moraine in two weeks? Hey I did it a couple of years ago. Dropped at 100km with Achilles issues. Don't underestimate the open meadows sections. It is hot and humid especially on the return. Hydrate very very well through it. Some pics here - http://t...

Re: Need help

Yep, it was definitely the heat. I was feeling it pretty hard last Sunday. Less than a week since we had snow on the ground, and the mercury was pushing 30 (plus a bit of humidity thrown in for good measure). Running to the conditions is always a better option to running your "usual pace"....

MY Hokas are in the box waiting to go back to MEC. Wore my new Saucony Ride 7s for the first time today and they felt good. I have also ordered a pair of the Triumph ISO. I have heard that the new Speedgoats are a move back to the quality Hoka was built on. EVA foam cushioning, and a Vibram outsole...

Whats a side walk? The article is about downtown areas. But one thing I hate about suburban development/car culture is that many places have no sidewalks. Lighten up! ? I find it very troubling that our society has moved toward reliance on the car. Our children will be paying the environmenta...

So I just finished my first race of the year last Saturday, and I was reminded of one thing: You need to eat more than you think you should, and you need to drink more than you think you should. Both should be done in small amounts and spread out at regular intervals (not necessarily at the same tim...
