Have you considered running backwards ?
Minus 51 would only be -15 and minus 41 only -14.
Of course you wouldn't want to try it at -37 :)

Like I said, it's unconventional, but please clarify to me, why is it stupid and dangerous. Well, stupid is relative. :) But I see this as potentially very injury-inducing. My back and shoulders hurt just thinking about it. And you're on a reoad, in a parking lot or whatever...dangerous with distra...

I'm not attending but there is one runner from my group in Chatham. Look for Jenni, short dark hair, about 5' 6". Age, not saying but it rhymes with niffty. She is on her own trying first ultra. Introduce yourself, and tell her Dave is just trying to make sure she has lots of friends to run wit...

Injuries are improving so was able to do a bit over 10 miles today, last week Hammy limited me to 7-8 miles so I'm hoping for steady progress.
Temp today a mild -2 to -3.

No goal other than to try and run as much as I can through re-hab. I've had a bad 2nd half of the year. Broken bone in foot July and August shot, then major hamstring tear/stretch/pull whatever you call it where you can't walk run or sit for any period of time. Been getting treaments for Chiro, mass...

Congratulations David. I've seen references to JFK before but didn't know anything about it so I googled. Also found a fly over http://vimeo.com/6863146 that shows it pretty well.

Awesome looking and quite challenging for the first 15 miles.

I will be there for cheering only. Broken bone in foot put on sidelines for 2 months and just as that was healing I did a major pull of my hamstring such that all I can do is walk easy. Don't have range of motion for easy run without major oweie. I'm told it might be another 2 weeks on top of the 4 ...

Still on the sidelines with fractured bone in foot. Seeing doc again in 3 more weeks. If it gets better I can start training again in early Sept. Tried the biek but found I still have lots of flexing of the foot which aggrevates the bone and swelling starts up again. Till then rest and get fat :) Dave

Tried it July 30th but foot just get swollen up. I might have to learn to ride a bike...hmm that's beena few year..I wonder if I've forgotten.. dave

Well I did the Warrior Dash on Saturday and of course aggravated the foot again so I'm limping once more. The issue seems to be the joint, after about 3 km the foot pads (2nd smallest toe) get inflamed (swollen) and I'm trying to land on the big toe side of the foot to avoid the weight bearing on th...
