Hmmm,
I feel like these new ones are the decoy choice to make you go to the KSOs or have your KSOs be more accepted...

Re: The BAA Ought To...
I think the spoof was pretty funny. Didn't see it "live" but to have a big institution do something is always great, Listen, now aren't you glad they didn't say 2:45 for all? BTW, my little rant on Boston - to me the striving to try for a BQ is far more important, fun, and life long. To sa...
Re: 10% rule?
Agreed with the listen to your body comments. It is the same with the cutting back aspect "every 3 weeks" as the OP said. I wouldn't just assume that I could increase 33.1% over three weeks, then cut back what? 5% then go up 10% of which week? if back to the last week you're now doing 15.8...

You're right - 2sec/mi, forgot the specific #
I just doubled my effort! So I would expect to cut off 18 min of time. Well I never ran a marathon at my higher weight so I can't say for sure, but I do feel my speed now.

Re: ATB Race shots
Thanks for the link! What's up with all the people taking photos on the course? I thought at least some of them were related to ASI. They had great pics of me, but when you get to the finish line, the slightest bit of crowding and you can't get anything of just me. Marathonfoto (Toronto) takes a muc...

Re: Work harder rather than longer for post-weight-loss exercise
Well the trick is always the quality of the food you eat. If your going out a lot, be aware that most restaurants use "a stick of butter" in everything. My best example is a pad thai - used to be my favourite, but at an average of 1,500 cal a plate, that's crazy! Try to do more cooking at ...

Re: Vibrams
In terms of distance, I've got approx 150-200 miles on them. The bottoms are still great. I've occasionally dragged my toe and the top of the right has a very small hole in the nylon, but it hasn't expanded which was probably 100 miles ago + several washes. In terms of bones and injuries, etc. I've ...

Re: Vibrams
I wear these in training. Got a pair after the Toronto half in Oct (KSOs). Ran distance, and trails in them. Started wearing them again in the nicer weather. Longest I've worn has been 30k. I am considering racing in them for ATB because I find that I'm consistently a little faster in them. Someone ...
