Re: Return to Running after Pleurisy & Partial Lung Collapse?
I'm sure "being patient and let your body heal" is not what you want to hear, but just remember, races are held every weekend. Once you are healthy, pick one and then get to work. Until then, keep the race calendar clear and just let your body do what it needs to do. This is a lesson I hav...

Re: Dogs! I am scared!
Don't waste your breath yelling. Dogs don't understand yelling "get away from me you #$%^&". It just thinks you're yapping back at it. Depending if it's trained, it might comprehend "no" But do it in a deep manly voice. Also if it's trained, ignoring it completely and riding ...

Go to a walk-in clinic if you have no family doctor.
I have asthma but have never had this happen.
Good luck.

Jono and Double BellyBuster post race. It was great to meet you Jono! Will I be seeing you torturing yourself with indoor training rides with the tri club? Bonehead question: can I ride outside with the rod I replaced on the back tire to make it compatible with the trainer? Not sure of the exact term, still getting used to going beyond where the breaks and gears are.

Re: Tires
No bits of rubber that I see. But I'll look tonight. I also haven't put air in my tires since that last outdoor ride a few weeks ago
I was thinking of doing a whole rim/tire swap in the spring so I can go back and forth on a whim.
Thanks!

Tires
I've had Cupcake on the fluid trainer for about a week now (7 hours or so ride time).
I want to go outside over the weekend, do I need to switch my back tire or the damage done by the trainer will be minimal? The tire currently on there is the one I used all season outside.
Thanks

Re: Peroneal Tendonitis
I mangled that muscle six weeks ago in a bike crash. Still not running because it is very slow to heal. I can do everything but run, so I do plyo, ride, swim etc. I just skip stuff that has me bouncing on one foot as I can't toe-off in running motion. But for some reason I can make it work in other ...

P90X core synergystics. It targets everything between your knees to your chest, which they classify as core.

Re: A bear attacking runners in GTA ?
This is just a couple KM from our place and part of our regular cycling and running routes. Bears are nothing new, although we never seem to see them. We have lots of forested areas and it's likely he just took a wrong turn and got on the road. We are sort of thought as GTA but not really, we're way...

Re: Fall Bike Show in T.O.
Go super early in the morning. There is apparently always a line up before the doors open and then craziness because know what they want and just race to it.
The earlier the better as well for bike size selection.
It's also beside the Scotiabank Expo, so you can hit that place too
